Avtech Me is a company that specializes in aviation research and technology, we were contracted by Dubai Air Navigation Services on series of projects. I reported to the CEO, my tasks and responsibilities varied between PA, various administrative/financial operations and management of the processing center.
Responsibilities and achievements:
* Managing the CEO’s work plan, agenda and travel arrangements. Holding and managing meetings with senior contractors on behalf of the CEO:
- A persisting problem stopped our payments for several months, I organised meetings with the contractor’s finance team and reached a settlement that resolved all our missed payments.
* Managing hotel contracts, bookings, reservations and received company guests:
- Our firm required over 100 nights per year for our guests, I renegotiated a deal with our current hotel that gave us a 25% decreased cost per room along with booking priority for our guests.
* Managing the data center of the Wake Vortex project, which uses a rackstation to store, archive and secure all aircraft files of the DXB airport to increase air safety.
- The existing technical process required filtering the data through 3 different in-house software packages. I devised a method that reduced data processing time from 3 weeks to 1.
* Managing the firm’s finances: preparing financial statements and reports, managing Petty Cash, sort and archive bills, preparing invoices and follow up on payments.
* Troubleshooting technical problems, establish and maintain daily reports of procedures. Provide technical and operational support to the research team to ensure timely schedule and compliance.
T.G.I. Friday's is an American restaurant chain focusing on casual dining. I reported to the floor manager, was originally employed as a busboy, opportunities arose for progression and eventually the role of staff
leader and supervisor for training of all new staff was given.
Responsibilities and achievements:
* Ensuring compliance with brand requirements and standards of services throughout operation time, guaranteeing high satisfaction of customers and dealing with complaints.
* Presenting at department meetings, assigning staff shifts and completing instructions delegated by senior management to general and junior staff.
* Training new Front of House staff introducing them to the company standards and ensuring competency in applying the brand’s trademark A+ level service:
- Through acquired knowledge gained from reading company manuals and how-to books, I devised a method that decreased the local training time from 3 weeks to 2 weeks.
* Keeping a high standard in overall hygiene and appearances.
* Overseeing all acts to ensure they are in accordance to the correct procedures determined by the health and safety regulations.
