• Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
• Interview vendors and visit suppliers' plants and distribution centers to examine and learn about products, services, and prices.
• Attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences to learn about new industry trends and make contacts with suppliers.
• Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other information to determine reasonable prices .
• Negotiate contracts on behalf of their organization.
• Work out agreements with suppliers, such as when products will be delivered.
• Meet with staff and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action .
• Evaluate and monitor contracts to be sure that vendors and supplies comply with the terms and conditions of the contract and to determine the need for changes.
• Maintain and review records of items bought, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories
• Search for new suppliers so that there is only one supplier there must be an alternative for all suppliers to compete not remain there any shortfall happens
• Search for the best quality and the lowest price, and this is the difficult equation that I try to apply in my work
• Permanent comparison between the offers from different suppliers, taking into account the quality, price and availability in the market or not.
• Responsible for the preparation and processing Purchase Orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Facilitate the accreditation of new Suppliers .
• Update and maintain records and files as necessary.
• Selection, evaluation & re-evaluation of suppliers.
• Handling and monitoring of claims to suppliers / vendors for defectives and shortages .
• Support relevant Departments with quotations for the purpose of tenders
• Monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site/store on time.
• Source, select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with suppliers and sub-contractors assigned .
• Plan and manage inventory levels of materials or products .
• Monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers (local and overseas).
• Ensure controls exercised on suppliers are maintained.
• Monitoring of Suppliers accounts and ensuring prompt and accurate monthly reconciliation of Supplier’s accounts.
• Scrutinizing of Auction account in the market and accurate accounting of commission sales with liaison to suppliers .
• Monitoring of Company purchases with annual stock turnover of Qar.60 million.
