Responsible for the overall end-to-end customer experience, building and maintaining deep long-term customer relationships, driving Services revenue growth by identifying and developing strategic opportunities, and overseeing/supporting services delivered by delivery team and serving as a single point of contact for both customers and delivery teams.
In my role I was focusing on the following areas:
• Strategic planning - researching and investigating my customer’s long-term business objectives, anticipating future technology needs, developing a strategic technology solution roadmaps and leading the proposed solution work-streams to bring customers to that future state.
• Executive review - Developing a strategic view of the complete services business life cycle and leading the coordination with the Customer and other Microsoft account partners to focus on solution status and realised value, removing risks and blockers, and strategic planning.
• Delivery and financial oversight - handling the execution of the service delivery account plans, meeting all key performance indicators around impact, growth, profitability, solution adoption and customer satisfaction while conforming to Microsoft business practices.
• Relationship management - Closely engaging with my customers top executives, I became their trusted advisor and owned delivery success, key outcomes, satisfaction and loyalty.
• Business development - identifying and qualifying engagement opportunities, assisting and leading sales and pursuit roles with deal shaping, approvals and closing.
My territory was extended to cover two more gulf countries basically extending my duties to cover consultancy projects in Bahrain and Oman.
Presales and delivery manager for Microsoft Consultancy Services (MCS) Engagements in Kuwait; supporting presales and directing projects delivery worth multi Million dollars per year; across a wide spectrum of Government and Enterprise customers and delivering a wide range of products including but not limited to: Enterprise Strategy, Infrastructure, Application Development, etc.; with the following objectives:
• Meeting a target of Multi Million USD of new work sold (NWS).
• Recognizing revenue worth Multi Million USD.
• Over achieving customer satisfaction index target.
• Meeting the target delivery margin (DM) target.
• Over achieving on all Operations Excellence Indexes.
Establishing a fully functional Program Management Office (PMO) for the IT Infrastructure division from scratch, the following have been achieved:
• Establishing a Project Management Process derived from the Prince II process.
• Rolling out the above process across all projects (Multi Million Dollars).
• Normalizing project templates and reports
• Hiring three project managers
• Working closely with an EPM (Enterprise Microsoft Project Management) consultant to automate the above mentioned methodology.
• Trained project managers and consultants on the above methodology and system.
Responsible for the successful rollout of the Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) system, at Lear Corporation - a major supplier of interior systems for the automotive industry. The rollout spans many engineering centres and plants with hundreds of users across two continents. My responsibilities include:
• Hiring and coaching a team of nine strong PLM Managers.
• Planning and coordinating the rollout at the different locations ensuring on time successful rollouts.
• Devising training and support strategies ensuring a successful rollout.
• Preparing and monitoring a yearly fiscal plan covering soft and hard costs.
• Working closely with senior managers, users and software developers (external/internal), with the objective to continuously improve system functionality, user interface and acceptance.
• Continuously promoting system benefits and highlighting association to corporate objectives to users and managers.
• Directed a team to develop, test and deploy a corporate wide PLM / CATIA5 integration.
My hard work, dedication and passion for change management earned me a seat in the corporate steering committee giving direction on corporate wide engineering systems and business processes.
As the title implies, my job covered a wide range of activities of which are: project management, systems & architecture analysis and design, process modeling & re-engineering, training, system installation (Metaphase PKM system) and configuration, customisation, compiling project specification, pre-sales, solution delivery, developing JAVA web enabled application clients. I was involved with several PDM projects with SDRC major clients of which:
- Messier-Dowty Project.
PKM Project Manager/ Leading Consultant at the Gloucester site of Messier-Dowty, a manufacturer landing gears for civil and defence aircrafts. The project was to design and deploy a Product Knowledge Management (PKM) system, which will manage and control Product Definition Data at Messier-Dowty Ltd (Gloucester). The project generated revenue of £650K over a period of nine months with very strict time scales.
- Defence Clothing and Textile Agency project (Ministry of Defence).
As the project Manager, I worked with a team to draw the requirements and specifications for the required functionality and user interface. I designed the object model and workflows needed to accommodate the user requirements. I also prepared and delivered a bespoke training course to introduce the new technology for potential users, and on how to use the system.
- Equipment Demonstrator project (Ministry of Defence)
As the project manager I worked with two developers to design and implement new functionality to the PDM system. I was then involved in the testing and user acceptance of the work done.
- Design Repository project (Ministry of Defence)
I was an active member in the team working on this project. I assisted in drawing the specifications and the design of the Object model. I designed bespoke training courses to introduce PDM to potential users and on how to use the system. It was then my responsibility to deliver those courses.
Working as a PDM Project Leader, at Ingersoll-Dresser Pumps (UK) Ltd., to implement a PDM System. The first stage was to establish an Engineering Document Management System (EDM), to control and manage engineering CAD and legacy drawings. The PDM package used was CMS by WorkGroup technologies. The role covered project management, schema design and configuration, writing specifications for an integration between the CAD system ‘SmartCam’, which is the 2D drafting tool used in the drawing office, and the PDM system. It also covered working closely with the team implementing the integration, modeling processes and systems, installing clients, system administration, technical support and dealing with suppliers. Structured training sessions and presentations to users from different disciplines and backgrounds were delivered, with the objective of propagating the PDM/EDM technology and to teach users how to use the PDM package.
A Research Associate in the Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development. The research project was entitled ‘Modeling Airflow in Passive Downdraught Evaporative Cooling Systems Using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Techniques. The CFD package used was CFX-F3D V4.1C. The research results were published in the proceedings of the 18th annual AIVA conference.
Working at the department of Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Management, University of Nottingham in a joint project with Lear Corporation (Nottingham) to further develop a Tool Management Information System (MIS) for Preventive Maintenance, using Microsoft Access2 (a Relational Database Management System for Windows). The new system called ‘PMTMIS’ is in use by the Tool Room Maintenance manager.
During this period I was managing a team of three people. My authorities included: maintaining the supplier chain, contacting new suppliers, reaching new agreements, issuing and following new orders, dealing with shipping agents and forwarders, arranging for payments, liasing with banks, and opening letters of credit. My Job included supporting the IT department in designing and implementing a Management Information System for the Purchasing Department.
GPA 86.4%. Ranked second with honors.
GPA 97.7% ranked 35th on all Graduates.
