1. Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for
academic performance and responsibility for behavior.
2. Manage, evaluate and supervise effective and clear procedures for the operation and
functioning of the school consistent with the philosophy, mission, values and goals of
the school including instructional programs, extracurricular activities, discipline
systems to ensure a safe and orderly climate, building maintenance, program
evaluation, personnel management, office operations, and emergency procedures.
Ensure compliance with all laws, board policies and civil regulations.
3. Establish the annual master schedule for instructional programs, ensuring sequential
learning experiences for students consistent with the school’s philosophy, mission
statement and instructional goals.
4. Supervise the instructional programs of the school, evaluating lesson plans and
observing classes (teaching, as duties allow) on a regular basis to encourage the use
of a variety of instructional strategies and materials consistent with research on
learning and child growth and development.
5. Establish procedures for evaluation and selection of instructional materials and
equipment, approving all recommendations.
6. Supervise in a fair and consistent manner effective discipline and attendance systems
with high standards, consistent with the philosophy, values, and mission of the
school. Ensure a safe, orderly environment that encourages students to take
responsibility for behavior and creates high morale among staff and students. File all
required reports regarding violence, vandalism, attendance and discipline matters.

It might not be worth mentioning since I worked for a short time in a local magazine in Lebanon. I made an article on the Real Estate sector and made interviews with constructors, bank managers and so forth. The article is given upon request.

JOB PURPOSE
1. To be responsible to the Headmistress for the management and leadership of the teaching of English throughout the School.
2. To share in the teaching of the English curriculum for the appropriate years, including, where relevant, to Oxbridge level and to be responsible to the Headmistress for this.
3. To be a Tutor, responsible to the Housemistress and Head of Section, for the pastoral care and monitoring of the academic progress of a group of students.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1 To the Students
a) In consultation with appropriate colleagues, oversee as necessary, the production of syllabuses and schemes of work in line with School policy;
b) To ensure that students’ work, performance and records of assessments are produced, assessed, and kept in line with School policy and national requirements;
c) To participate in the assessment of new students entering the School as required by the Headmistress, including matters pertaining to Entrance and Scholarship examinations;
d) To stimulate and encourage students to a high standard of interest and achievement in the subject area, ensuring that the needs of each individual are met;
e) To arrange pupil participation in internal and external events as appropriate;
f) To liaise and work with the Learning Skills Department to ensure that the needs of each individual are being met;
g) To provide a lively and stimulating environment in which teaching can occur by ensuring that rooms allocated to the department have attractive and stimulating displays;
