1. Ensure the books closure on monthly basis based on local GAAP and IFRS on or before 1st of every succeeding month.
2. Preparation of monthly financials statements and related Management Information System and submitting on or before 2nd of every succeeding month.
3. Ensuring all accruals of expenses are done, material consumption is verified and all journal vouchers are posted.
4. Allocating all expenses based on cost centres and capturing the correct cost to respective GL codes and ABC codes.
5. Preparing the monthly reports for variances and explaining the variances between budget and actual figures, yield variations, profitability analysis.
6. Maintaining accurate and up to date records of all financial transactions, reconciliation of bank statements and Supervision of day-to-day operation of Accounts.
7. Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
8. Proper reconciliation of accounts with the sister companies, corporate, vendors and customers.
9. Controlling the debit notes and credit notes to group companies.
10. Using various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, manipulate and/or format data for accounting and reporting purposes
11. Carrying out the monthly payroll process, maintaining records for leaves, deductions, overtime, allowances and ensuring the salary on time.
12. Organizing the departmental meetings for presenting the monthly operational performance reports and explaining the reasons for variances and the scope for improvements.
13. Comply with Government / Ministry regulations and legislation including Income / Deferred / Withhold tax etc.
14. Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of annual company budget.
15. Cooperation with Internal and external auditors to carry out annual auditing process
16. Ensuring proper Capex accounting and maintaining Fixed Assets registers.
17. Depreciation workings as per local GAAP and IFRS and correct posting into accounts.18. Any other task assigned from time to time by management.
- Have detailed knowledge of the 3 main financial statements : Balance sheet, Income statement, and
Cashflow statement
- Deliver weekly/monthly reports as required
- Communicate with suppliers and shipping companies
- Arrange payments to suppliers and arrange for deliveries
