Key responsibilities and achievements
• Conduct assigned audit engagements from start to end in accordance with EAS & IFRS.
• Identifies and assess risks of material misstatement of financial reports due to fraud; asses internal controls and ensure controls are effectively designed.
• Identifies and communicates issues raised, offering recommended solutions relevant to business and risk.
• Supervises junior auditors assigned to engagements providing guidance and overall review of deliverables.
• Develops audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives.
• Organizes personal effort along with those of junior auditors to be risk-based, productive, and efficient at all times.
• Designs and implement responses to material misstatement, test appropriateness of journal entries while focusing at end of reporting period, review accounting estimates for bias, and analyze significant unusual transactions.
• Ensures audit conclusions are based on complete understanding of the process, circumstances, & risk.
• Prepares management letter points and audit strategy presentations
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Works through a diversified portfolio of audit engagements in different industries such as services, trading, manufacturing and oil & gas as well as standalone & consolidation audit.
