I work as a Senior Specialist in a very busy environment (Service Delivery Department - vMware and Windows Platform) with more than 400 Servers (physical and virtual), some of my responsibilities are:
-Ensuring that all services are performed to the agreed SLA.
-Monitoring overall performance of services.
-Building Performance reports.
-Initiate the communication around issues and opportunities - get things done, make things happen.
-Ensuring operations teams are aware of changes and prepared for them.
Installation and configuration of the Monitoring tool “Solarwinds” with HA design from scratch in a vmware environment.
Administrator of HP Operations and Security Mail Gateway and Microsoft products (Exchange and AD) Also I used hyper-v to build testing environment which was almost identical to the production.
I participated in the NewGen project, the project has helped me learning new skills which resulted in achieving good value documents for the Operations.
Also, I worked in Tadawul Datacenter for 2 Years and during this period I have learned a lot about Data centers Design, Hardware Maintenance and Installations, plus that I was the key person in writing Tadawul Run Book which added to my knowledge significant information about Tadawul NewGen and helped in improving my documentation skills.
My experience at SAMBA helped me to develop my general business awareness, LAN security, Internet Security and documentation.
I've a good experience using highly compliant with best-practice standards applications in the IT field and some of them are NetIQ, HP OpenView NNM, HP OpenView Operations, and HP OpenView ServiceDesk along with 4 years in a very busy department which is Communications Department of SAMBA Financial Group.
This experience has built up a very strong sense of how the IT works and how to deal with variety of problems as well as with variety types of people.
