• Ensure the effective attainment of Maintenance Services departmental objectives by providing leadership to the Maintenance Planning section. This includes setting individual objectives, managing performance, and developing and motivating staff to maximise both individual and collective performance within the section.
• Recommend improvements to departmental policies and oversee the implementation of procedures and controls across all maintenance planning activities. Ensure compliance with
relevant procedural and legislative requirements while delivering high-quality, cost-effective services to customers.
• Develop comprehensive plans to coordinate all related activities efficiently, ensuring task completion within specified time and cost constraints while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
• Consider availability and capability of plant, equipment and materials so that all assumptions incorporated within the plan can be fully met
• Prepare KPI Monthly reports for the whole plant, identifying repeated failures and repair costs to the business
• Conduct weekly Asset Healthcare meetings, gap analysis for target KPIs and assign actions for the KPI deviations
• Arrange regular maintenance activities of steam turbine generators, sea water pump house and desalination plants, including all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks
• Prepare work order and contracts for reimbursable work orders, which include customer request and/or damages to overhead or underground facilities.
• Utilise planning and prioritisation skills in the whole process of shutdowns, turnarounds and overhauling of several plant units by securing efficient targets, deadlines, cost/ consumption control & reliability goals.
• Manage resources to provide spares, materials, project plans/ chart bars and arranged accurate execution of maintenance activities prior shutdowns & turnarounds; maximise equipment availability through most effectively using planned maintenance
• Portray leadership skills during the weekly walkdown with operations and maintenance to identify the defects, safety observations, and unavailable equipment.
• Coordinate scheduling in conjunction with Operations Manager, Power Department crews, other City departments, other utilities and Governmental agencies, and contractors.
• Credited for ensuring all maintenance activities planned in accordance to current EHS / BASF guidelines as well as managing the maintenance planning and scheduling function within SAP.
• Put problem solving skills in action to prepare the shutdown plans for the intermediate sections of the plant.

• Facilitated weekly maintenance plan activities for all engineering disciplines and executed Process Improvement skills to put strategies into action for bringing out change in business requirements, Overall equipment effectiveness and Condition monitoring utilising SAP engineering management system.
• Regularly used stock replenishment systems, ordering equipment and external labour as well as other duties such as sending hydraulic cylinders and pumps for repair and managing the logistics of the departments oil and grease supplies.
