o Determine internal audit scope of work and develop monthly & annual audit plans.
o At group level, perform and control the full audit cycle including financial audit, Human Resource & operational audit.
o Obtain, analyze and evaluate accounting documentation, reports, data and controls.
o Review all activities and ensure they are in line with company policies.
o Identify loopholes & presenting clear and concise audit reports to business unit management, committees, influencing decision making and key outcomes.
o Provide recommendations where weaknesses, gaps and areas for further improvement have been identified.
o Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions.
o Support in the development of effective controls along with risk management.
o Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure goals achievement.
o Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.
o Oversee training needed to carry out the necessary policies and controls are in place.
o Lead, direct and guide audit staff & evaluate audit programs to achieve audit objectives.
o Contribute to the delivery of the Internal Audit plan though timely completion of assigned audits, working with other members of the team.
o Perform audit assignments conducting planning, fieldwork and reporting activities ensuring adherence to the Group Internal Audit methodology
o Co-ordination of internal audit activities with the Group’s risk management and compliance functions
o Input into the development of the internal audit function, including policies/procedures development, audit methodologies and support tools
o Review/preparation of audit working paper / documentation in accordance with professional standards.
o Conducting special projects at request of Head of Internal Audit / company management responding to emerging business risks
o Design and evaluate internal controls and operating practices.
o Develop practical solutions to problems arising in business and financial operations.
o Create audit schedules and plans for the internal audit staff.
o Review and assess the work of audit staff.
o Assess the audit findings and initiate corrective measures to ensure effectiveness.
o Prepare audit reports including the audit findings and appropriate corrective actions.
o Lead, direct and guide audit staff.
o Maintain and develop good relationship with customers.
o Deliver excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
o Motivate the sales team to meet sales objectives by training and mentoring staff.
o Create business strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and
enhance profitability.
o Hire, train, and oversee new staff.
o Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
o Ensure store compliance with health and safety regulations.
o Develop and arrange promotional material and in-store displays.
o Prepare detailed reports on buying trends, customer requirements, and profits.
o Undertake store administration duties such as managing store budgets and updating
financial records.
o Monitor inventory levels and order new items
