Work as Network Administrator
Under the guidance of the Manager of Technical Services the individual will be responsible for:
performs diagnostics of network issues, provides support for service desk staff.
2. updates and maintains network documentation, assigns ip addresses, saves device
configurations.
3. configures network devices for new deployments per direction of senior staff, configures
replacement network devices from backup configuration files.
4. assists with the administration and maintenance of IP based telephony systems, such as
provisioning handsets, setting up extensions, supporting user requests.
5. assists in supporting network servers and internal corporate servers.
6. assists in user desktop issues, helps with computer software installation, solves email
access and routing issues, assists with desktop backup and archiving.
7. for day to day operational tasks such as proactive maintenance, management, monitoring
performance, incident and problem management, security, and backup and recovery
across the network infrastructure.

The post holder will provide effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business and will
provide back up and support to the IT Manager. The post holder is responsible for supporting and
maintaining the Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems, and Microsoft Exchange
environment plus general maintenance of all IT-related hardware/software. The position provides
exposure to a broad range of IT-related projects and activities.
Duties/Areas of Responsibility:
The position will involve the following areas of responsibility:
* Escalate IT issues to the IT Manager where necessary
* Manages components such as Domain Name Service (DNS) or List server to
carry information to users via the Internet and intranet
* Responsible for managing backups
* Diagnose and resolve technical issues
* Undertake small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the IT Manager
* Provide desktop and server support
* Support and maintain MS Server/Desktops and MS Exchange
* Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops

* Ensuring security and upgrades are applied and kept up to date on desktops and laptops
