1. Design procedures that provide assurance to management, the Audit Committee, external auditors and shareholders that operations, financial statements and reports comply with Bank policy, as well as generally accepted accounting practices.
2. Oversee the creation of internal accounting controls that ensure compliance with Basel legislation and that safeguard Bank assets. These will cover programs for accounting, financial, information systems, and operational controls.
3. Ensure the execution of a systematic, disciplined and balanced approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, internal controls, risk management and governance processes and adding value to support further global scalability by identifying audit recommendations to support both corrective action and process improvements.
4. Coordinate Internal Audit activities with those of the external auditors to ensure proper audit coverage, eliminate duplicate efforts and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of audit activities. Possess the ability to align the Internal Audit and the external auditor’s independent plan.
5. Partner with functional leadership and their staff in developing strong, professional and independent relationships to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the business to enable value added recommendations that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
6. Lead both the preparation of comprehensive written reports and Internal Audit team members in partnering with the business to implement recommendations in an efficient and reasonable manner.
7. Oversee the execution of other tasks or special projects when required by management, such as due diligence reviews, fraud investigation, etc.
8. Promote high levels of ethical awareness and conduct within the company and allocate resources towards conducting investigations of potential ethical concerns and/or conflicts of interest.
9. Maintain a dialogue with other partners and colleagues from professional audit from the Banking industry. Keep abreast of industry issues and trends in order to proactively shape Internal Audit practices and procedures.
Heading the team responsible of review all the bank branches within UAE to ensure fully compliance with the Bank Policy & Procedures and to safe guard the bank assets and ensure correctiness of the financial figures prepared by the branches
Heading of Internal Control Team distributed amongest the Bank branches over the country to start of Risk Base Audit instead applying the old version of Audit as Compliance Base Audit, and participate in restructuring the Bank vision and mission
Head of Team in the Corprate Audit, responsible of reviweing the Overseas Branches plus the Head office departments and doing spot Audit iver the branches within UAE to ensure compliance with the Bank policy & procedures
Internal Control Dept. responsible for:
- Participate in preparing Audit Plan for the year
based on risk evaluation.
- Examine and evaluate the effectiveness and
adequacy of Internal controls, Perform other
assignment including investigation, review
Policies procedures & system from control
prospective and value-addition.
- Exercise vigilance in detecting any violation of
local regulations or Bank policy and report any
wrongdoing.
- Ensure that Assets of the Bank are
safeguared and its policies are strictly
complied with, Report and investigate all
irregularities.
- Surface risk pro actively and in a timely
manner, concurrently review areas defined in
the Audit plan.
- Develop action plans consisting of
recommendations to correct deficiencies, for
acceptance and implementation.
- Make pro-active recommendations to improve
Internal controls in all the Banks processes &
policies.
- Ensure that the Bank has received standard
Loans documentations as designated for each
type of credit facility & for every Loan
agreement.
- Conduct periodical review for all collaterals
hypothecated by the Bank and mortgage
documents in accordance with AFL terms.
- Perform Audit over Credit admin. Dept. to
ensure that credit facilities are reviewed and
renewed annually, or in conformity with the
credit policy manual.
Responsible for: Customer Service Dept./Cash Dept/Reconciliation Dept./Treasury Back office/ ClearingDept(Incoming & Outgoing cheques) Safe Custody of post dated cheques/ preparing daily positions of borrowers customer with status of cheques under collection.
Responsible for: Teller's Dept/ Credit Cards Dept ( Visa & Master Card) Clearing Dept/ Treasury Back Office/ Financial Dept.
Book keeper, preparing trial balance at the end of the mont and reconciling all Accounts payable and receivable.
