Client Experience:
- Received recognition from immediate supervisor relating to dealing with difficult customer and meeting daily targets.
My university life really was a learning experience as it introduced me to lots of real-world challenges. I went into much depth regarding operations, management, marketing, human resources, accounting, finance and economics of the business world. My knowledge of industries and the expertise they require has improved. I was fortunate enough to work with actual companies that needed fresh thinkers, I worked with many different teams as well as individually to conquer the company goals including a new target market, a greater business model, marketing model and company restructuring. The business plan and the marketing plan that I had introduced to the companies were accepted and much appreciated.
It is safe to say that the backbone of many successful corporations is their Human Resource department, which deals with things such as payroll, compensation, benefits, employee and employer rights and most importantly, the correct recruitment. Satisfied employees correlate directly with the level of output of the business, unhappy employees will put in less effort and begin to slack off, whereas happy or motivated employees will work for their incentives and work harder for personal and company gains in all positivity. This certification also touched base with organizational behavior, recruitment, training, compensation, health and safety and the various laws and duties involved in daily operations.
College is different from the university education as it gives lots on hands-on preparation of the working world. My 3 year diploma included many hands-on courses that were both rich in theory and in practicality. I had the chance of developing business models for companies, also conducted marketing research and industry research. Since it was marketing based, aspects of marketing such as sales, forecasts, advertising, branding, segmentation, the 4Ps (price, product, placement, promotion), marketing theories, SWOT analyses, marketing mix, strategies and concepts were all conducted in much detail. Brand awareness and the process of creating a “need” for the target customer is a game all consumers and companies are a part of. Marketing is as crucial to a product/company as water is to plants.
