A) Construction Phase of Hydro Power Project
• Routine visit of construction site, Upper Marsyangdi Hydro Electric Project (Lot-II: Road, Tunnel and underground RCC Power House (7 storey)) with consultants & contractors engineers, Geologists and discuss the construction issues regarding with QA & QC including tunnel and Power House Cavern stabilization work as per the geological condition and resolve it.
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements, progress report, assist in evaluation and verification of contractor’s invoices for the payment from management.
• Confer with design engineers, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates. And dealing with local stakeholders making judgments and solving problems.
• Analyze construction drawings and other documentation to prepare time, cost and materials.
• Working in close co-ordination with Consultant, Contractor, Stakeholders and government officials.
B) Study Phase/Pre-Construction Work of Hydro Power Project
• Prepare civil cost estimates for Upper Marsyangdi-II (600 MW) (Total Project Cost US$ 0.75 Billion) and Upper Karnali (900 MW) (Total Project Cost US $ 1.1 Billion) Hydroelectric Project to aid management in bidding on and determining price of construction according to guidelines provided by Central Water Commission (CWC), India.
• Confer technical details and manage the site during the visit of IFC, World Bank, IBN, contractors and consultants.
• Supervision and Quality Control of Construction work of Staff Colony, Rambazar, Upper Marshyangdi-II (600 MW) Hydroelectric Project.
• Involved in Designing, Drawing, BoQ preparation, Rate Analysis work and assist management during bidding the contract of construction work of Staff colony, Rambazar.
• Involved Designing, Drawing, BoQ preparation and supervision of construction work of Army accommodation facilities and RCC bunker complex at Upper Karnali Project and at Upper Marsyangdi-II Project.
• Assist in preparation of Detail Project Report (DPR), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report of Upper Marsyangdi-II HEP.
• Preparation of progress report, rate analysis and supervision of drift tunnel excavation work (total 300 m length). Checked and discussed with contractor’s engineer and Geologist about the stabilization measures adopted during progress of work.
• Assist different pre-construction geological investigation work i.e. NX-size sub-surface drilling, Water permeability test, Standard Penetration Test (SPT) and pre-consolidation grouting for the ground improvement.
• Assist during detail topographic survey work of Besishahar-Nigal Gharee approach road (40 KM length) and involved in designing, drawing, cost estimation and report preparation for the up gradation of access road to construction site.
• Assist during DGPS, Cadastral and Topographic Survey of 400 KVA, DC, 200 Km transmission line for Upper Marsyangdi HEP. Lab In charge, sediment concentration analysis of UMS-II and preparation of report.
Bachelor in Civil Engineering (BE) major in Building Construction and Micro Hydro Development.
