Roles and Responsibilities:
•Monitoring job’s.
•Checking if all batch jobs completed successfully and action based on the end user status.
•Checking System Operator Messages.
•Checking the history logs and particular job logs.
•Monitoring JOBQ and OUTQ.
•Checking Disk status and Network status.
•Checking the status of the Line, Controller and Device.
•Checking the active jobs and status of the SUB SYSTEM.
•Create, Delete and Update the user profile as per the request.
•Initialize the tape and Checking the tape is found or Not.
•Restore the object and library using BRMS.
•Monitoring AS/400 hardware problems.
•Placing Service calls for the Hardware alerts when needed
•Manage and perform weekly /monthly backup and recovery processes.
•Performing initial program load IPL via HMC
•Performing Health check after Backup completed.
•Checking daily logs, System status, Disk status, Problems in AS/400.
•Able to create a subsystem, Job queue, output queue.
•Able to work on BRMS, Native & Advanced Job Schedulers.
•Submitting jobs in Advanced Job Schedulers.
•Knowledge about User Profile.
•Monitoring High availability tools (MIMIX).
•Save & Restoration of objects and Libraries.
•Raising Tickets in case of problem and directing them to appropriate Groups.
•Inform to TL/Shift Lead /escalate to Manager/SDM while Sev 1/2 issues.
•Knowledge about FTP and PTF installation.
