• Creation of HSE alertness and awareness amongst the site workforce through the safety, slogans,
posters and safety alert bulletins display out prominent places.

• Verify the Energy Control Plans and the isolation methods to ensure protection to personnel prior to and while performing work involving repair/alteration on equipment in which the unexpected energization or start-up of the machines or equipment, the release of energy or hazardous materials could cause injury.
• Verify the Safe Job Plans attached to the permits to ensure that all the steps of activities are captured in and hazards are identified and evaluated with mitigation methods are in place.
• Assisted in conducting various noise surveys, for various scheduled jobs including both routine and non-routine activities.
• Interact with working crew to evaluate the awareness and educate the plant specific requirements.
• Report EHS department any safety violation that need intervention from management with proper documentation system.
• Correct onsite unsafe behaviors and apply disciplinary actions if required as per Equate EHS department guidelines.
• Work in align with the Unit EHS team for various safety audits.
• Provide safety trainings for workers, confined space attendants, entrants and fire watchers on specific topics during turnarounds.
• Lead the team of safety officers during the shut downs and turnarounds.
• 5 No’s of Major Plant shutdown and 1 Major Turnaround completed successfully as Lead HSE Officer.
