PHCC recruit me for the project implementation of the Electronic Medical Records.
Set standards to convert the paper medical records to EHR.
Implement CERNER applications in the Health Centres.
Convert the health data in the meaningful Use.
Implement coding activities in the Primary Health Care Centre.
Participate quality improvement projects for the purpose of continuous documentation improvement and work with the physician group to facilitate effective resolution to coding related issues.
Perform quality check of coded records and ensure the codes are assigned as the highest specificity.
Audit random records on monthly basis and ensure the records are complete and meet the HAAD requirements.

Develop forms for physician documentation, for proper assignment of E/M Code
Supervision of clinical coders,
Auditing for coding accuracy and to ensure the compliance with CCSC coding standards.

Since the institution was new I had the opportunity to establish the department, Develop policies, procedures and recruitment of staff.
Over the period of 6 years service the department was fully operational with all medical records functions and many training programs were conducted in house to train the staff.
Functioned as co-ordinator to run a two-year Diploma course in Medical Records with the affiliation to Christian Medical Association of India (CMAI), New Delhi.
Lead the hospital for Medical council of India accreditation for conducting various courses in the hospital & contributed in developing electronic medical record.
Conduct the Annual National Medical Record Conference called MEDRECON-2005 at Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, Pondicherry in the year 2005 with hold the position of Organizing Secretary.
Standardize the medical record forms and re structured the filing section to ensure missing records and initiated on computerizing medical records.
