Working on New Doha International project as Project Procurement Manager . Incharge of Controls Procurement and MEP & Architectural Systems . Consultants : Overseas Bechtel Inc

 Heading & supervising a team of 6 Procurement staff and one Procurement Manager.
 Responsible for complete Procure to Pay Cycle from Requisition to Supplier Invoices.
 Planning and implementing Procurement activities to suit telecom roll out plan.
 Cost Control and meeting annual financial budget requirements for Procurement .
 Training and guiding local Procurement staff to become independent.
 Responsible for Local and international sourcing for Telecom Tower, Power, Installation & Commissioning services

Organised own work, whilst supervising and determining junior buyer procurement strategies. Coordinates with vendors to source Buyer Furnished Equipment: Cabin Retrofit projects for the Airlines fleet of aircraft.
Collaborated with the Contract Manager; established pricing and contracts for aircraft commodities. Provided focused attention; ensured correct quantities of materials were available on-time and of the highest quality.
Participated in strategic thinking and decision making; contributed sound objective decisions; perceived the impact and implications of decisions; formulated and documented strategies for better vendor management.
Assisted the Contracts Manager in supplier negotiations. Ensured PO’s reflected agreed OEM vendor pricing.

Achievements:

Proven track record in generating savings resulting from multi-contract reviews.
Floated enquiries and undertook discussions with numerous qualified vendors: Western and Eastern Europe, Asia and UAE. Achieved an overall 7% cost reduction in procurement together with targeted savings of 5%.
Excellent negotiation skills resulted in final cost savings of 1.5M AED against a project value of 12M AED.
Used initiative; sourced a local tyre vulcanising vendor; gained efficiency in repairs and subsequent cost savings.
Exhibited refined negotiation skills; persuaded local material supply agents to review their charges which led to overall savings of 3 million AED.
Reviewed existing manpower contracts; aggressively negotiated reduced hourly rates by 3% per person; without any detriment to the quantity and quality of productivity levels.
Implemented measures and improved vendor quality management awareness levels. Trained project site stores management; achieved greater administrative controls; ensured QC procedures were strictly adhered to; gained increased accuracy in vendor payments and eliminated payment of non compliant materials.
