1. Operational Management
Assist the Executive Housekeeper in managing daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
Supervise and coordinate the work of floor supervisors, room attendants, and public area staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to maintain consistent quality and adherence to brand standards.
2. Team Leadership and Training
Lead, motivate, and develop the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional service.
Conduct training sessions on cleaning procedures, safety, and grooming standards.
Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback, coaching, and counseling when needed.
3. Inventory and Cost Control
Monitor and manage housekeeping supplies, guest amenities, and linen inventory.
Prepare and control the departmental budget and reduce wastage without compromising quality.
Maintain cost efficiency through effective scheduling and manpower planning.
4. Guest Relations and Quality Assurance
Handle guest complaints and special requests promptly and professionally.
Ensure all rooms are prepared as per VIP and special guest preferences.
Work closely with Front Office and Engineering to ensure rooms are ready for arrivals and maintenance issues are resolved quickly.
5. Administration and Reporting
Maintain records of room status, linen usage, lost and found items, and housekeeping productivity reports.
Prepare duty rosters and assign tasks to team members based on occupancy and operational needs.
Support in departmental meetings and contribute ideas for service improvement.
6. Safety, Hygiene, and Sustainability
Enforce compliance with hotel safety, security, and hygiene policies.
Ensure staff use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
Promote eco-friendly practices and sustainability initiatives in the housekeeping department.
7. Coordination
Liaise with Laundry, Front Office, and Engineering for smooth operations.
Assist in planning and executing deep cleaning, preventive maintenance, and renovation projects.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for housekeeping-related purchases and maintenance.
