In this role I am responsible for reporting to the board of directors, managing legal team of associates, structuring deals and transactions, advising on export controls and sanctions regulations, managing disputes and litigation, creating and managing compliance activities, ensuring compliance with GDPR.
In this role I was responsible for structuring the transactions, drafting and negotiating complex contracts, supervision compliance activities, and managing disputes and litigations.
- Performing legal and compliance work within the company and other Sony Group companies;
- Providing advisory on issues and questions across Middle East and Africa region;
- Providing legal training to all designated employees on anti-trust, anti-bribery, anti-money laundering laws;
- Ensuring statutory compliance with existing laws and company policies across the MEA region;
- Reviewing and drafting MOU’s, MOA’s, POA’s, various agreements and other legal documents with distributors, vendors and customers;
- Closely cooperating with company’s business units and advising on drafting of contracts, agreements and other legal documents;
- Managing legal department budget;
- Liaising/Managing external lawyers for legal claims and developing strategies for successful outcomes;
- Analyzed legal claims and litigation, and developed strategies for successful outcomes;
- Together with Division Head negotiated settlement of approximately 8 cases with value almost US$1 mln;
- Provided legal support to various Sony Group companies like Sony Market Development, Sony Professional, Sony PlayStation, Sony Mobile Communications, Sony Global Education Inc.
Activities and Achievements:
− Handled legal and procedural work in relation to the company’s registration and licensing (under DSO);
− Registered separate subsidiary company in Dubai mainland (under DED);
− Provided legal advice to top management and found out solutions to legal issues;
− Drafted and reviewed contracts, HR and Internal policies. Drafted & revised 50+ Contracts since I joined;
− Negotiated contract terms with business partners of the company;
− Managed legal process, litigations and business transactions of the company;
− Analyzed and identified legal risks and implications;
− Coordinated the work of external legal counsel and/or specialists;
− Kept management abreast of all new laws and regulations that may have effect the company’s business.
− Represented company at GITEX Technology Week 2013;

- Drafted and concluded contracts with clients;
- Worked in close cooperation with government departments in relation to investment projects;
- Advised on complex Corporate Structuring/Restructuring, Joint Ventures, and Mergers & Acquisitions through Switzerland and Hong Kong;

- I have established contacts with tourism companies to advertise our law firm among potential clients;
- Managed the Firm's dealings with Russian speaking clients including developing business by building and maintaining close relationships and exploring their needs and expectations. I was able to significantly increase the number of Russian speaking clients within short period of time.
- Finally, I worked in close cooperation with business consultations department of Al Rowaad Advocates where I have dealt with company set up and registration, drafted and proofreaded the MOA and AOA and etc.
