Responsible for biomass cogeneration plant and steam boiler supervising in the sugar mill, planning and following execution of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment. Program tests of relays, generators, transformers, switchgears and 34500 Volts transmission lines and their attached equipments, in order to reduce not desired downtime during production period. Covering the position of shift electrical maintenance supervisor during repaiment period (after sugar cane harvesting 6 months period).
Besides planning and supervising projects related to generation area improvement just like new equipment mounting, test programming, legal requirements compliment following, etc.
Assuring of safety procedures compliment, following of guidelines required by certifications acquired by AZUNOSA (ISO9001, FSSC22000, BONSUCRO, World Class Manufacturing). Member of the emergency brigade. In charge of risk analysis prior maintenance activities, assurance of hazardous work permits following.
Responsible for program, supervise and coordination of both; new electrical projects and maintenance of customer’s electric installations, A/C systems, emergency electric plants, plumbing systems, ceilings, and buildings facilities in Honduras. Mount of lighting systems, electric motors, transformers, and electrical equipment. Responsible for work team safety during project execution, risk analysis prior works starting. Assure of customer safety procedures compliment.
Executing a one year contract realizing next tasks:
Responsible for program, supervise and coordination of both; preventive and corrective maintenance of electronic equipment of the plant, signal and communications.Supervision of department‘s technical personnel; assuring of safe work performance and protection of technicians during work execution.Member of the emergency brigade.
Reporting to the General Manager. Responsible for the environmental, health and safety department. Responsible for: ergonomics, safety procedures and check lists regarding to emergency lighting, emergency stops operation, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors operation, etc. safety wear selection, purchasing and distribution, risks communication, dust and noise measuring in work places, measuring of LEL, hazardous gases concentration in explosive atmosphere areas, firefighting and evacuation brigadiers coordinator; fire prevention, firefighting, safety in work places, PPE selection and environmental items trainer, new employees and visits safety induction; record and analysis of environmental and safety indicators; send reports to the central in Germany in a weekly, monthly and yearly basis; supervision of the right operation of fire men truck; representative of both fire detection and firefighting systems; accident investigation. Also in charge of continous update of the MSDS master book, supervising of the apropiate of both, chemical storage and chemical handling according to their fire level risk and environmental danger risk; responsible for the correct waste water treatment plants operations; assuring of the correct solid wastes disposal according to Honduran laws. Assure the full complaint of the ISO14001-2004 standard (certification achieved on Sept. 2010), perform internal audits to the EH&S management system; creation of documents regarding to environmental topics; perform preventive and corrective actions derivated from audits; collaborate with Novem’s group central in Germany in safety’s plants audits. Coordinate and supervise housekeeping, green areas and building maintenance.
Reporting to the General Manager and complaining manager level responsibilities. Responsible for the integrated HSEQ management system in both power generation plants operated by Energy International Honduras: ELCATEX power plant (21 MW) and Parkdale power plant (14 MW). In charge of implementation and keeping of ISO9001-2000 standard certification which was achieved on Nov. 2007. Control of documentation and registers of the quality management system. Training of quality internal auditors, internal audits performing, measuring tools calibration control. Assure the best safety conditions for workers. Identification and blocking of dangerous energies, opening and close of work permits, reading of H2S and LEL in plant facilities, coordination of emergency brigades, fuel downloading supervising, MSDS reviewing, appropriate chemical handling assuring, supervising of confined space areas' works, external contractors jobs induction and supervising, new employees and visits safety induction, recording and analyzing of safety management indicators, proposal of preventive and corrective actions coming from non-conformancies found in internal audits. Monitoring of HFO engines emissions to the atmosphere, employees training in industrial safety, fire prevention, firefighting, PPE wearing, landscape HFO spills control, accident prevention. Accidents investigation. Assure of full environmental legal requirements compliment.
Shift chief, in charge of three 7.23 MW HFO powered generation units operation of ZIP ELCATEX power plant. Responsible for synchronization of the power plant with the national interconnected grid. Verification of the following generators parameters: voltage, current, power, power factor and frequency. Monitoring of the following operation parameters of HFO engines: cylinders temperature, oil pressure, fuel temperature and fuel pressure, steam boilers temperature and pressure, exhaust gases temperature, turbo speeds, generators temperature, etc.
Controlling generation units load delivery according to the customer requirments and the national interconnected grid; also responsible to follow the necessary actions to set the plant in operation with a fast response; in case of a black out.
Take readings of all the variables regarding to the energy delivery in an hourly basis; besides control of the right operation of the three, 50 ton rated, absorption chillers feeded by the returning engines cooling water.
Checking of the correct operation of the three exhaust gas boilers, according to the manufacturer requirements.
Responsible for product quality in electric automotive harnesses assembling. Complain with quality standards given by the customer for their products (Ford Focus, Ford Ranger and Jaguar X-400). Verify the full following of design specifications to assure right dimensions and best operation of harnesses. Documental control. Statistical analysis and root cause analysis according to ISO-TS16949 standard.
Performing of both process and product audits in order to check if all of the dimensional and functional requirements had been complained. In that way no customers claims would be generated.
Sugest preventive and corrective actions in order to reduce the quantity of rejected pieces in final inspection; and also help to achieve the set goals by Six Sigma leaders.
Responsible for the daily production program compliment in pledge area. In charge of preparation of raw knits lots for washing area. Control of raw knits warehouse.
Supervise that SAP inventory fits to real inventory in the warehouse.
Review the operational condition of machinery in the department; reporting any undesirable condition to maintenance department.
Responsible for safety in department; assuring that all rules were followed in the area. Make walk around safety audits and inform employees about safety issues found.
Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of electrics installations, lighting conditions, CATV istallations, emergency power generators, automatic power source transfers, load centers, air conditioning, plumbing, walls, metalic doors, roof and floors, drains and general building maintenance y in 15 stores trough the country and the distribution center.
Contractors supervising and new buildings construction supervising.
Responsible for production lines lay-out and line balancing in order to improve the production flow and increase productivity, compliment of production program of printed circuit board components assembling for ground fault current interrupters manufacturing, procedures and working instructions elaboration. Follow of procedures according to ISO9002 standard which was valid at that time.
In charge of machinery in department, pogramming of special machinery for new designsdevelopment.
Training of new employees in items like ESD, basics of electronics, identification of electronic componets, safety in work places, etc.
