Office Work:
-Participating in price negotiations with Suppliers & Sub-Contractors, and making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project
-Liaising with clients and their representatives, including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress on Site
-Liaising with the local authorities to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws
-Liaising with consultants, sub-contractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
-Assessing and verifying shop drawings, material submittals, materials delivered to site, and as-built drawings
-Coordinating with Sub-Contractors, Consultant and Client
-Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
-Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client/architect
-Monitoring and reporting the actual progress of Works and comparing with the planned Works
-Assisting the Resident Engineer by providing the information needed to be discussed in meetings either internally or with other parties
-Coordinating with Planning Engineer in developing and monitoring the Schedules
-Controlling the Quality of work executed at site as per project Specifications
-Ensuring the inspection and approval for ongoing activities within stipulated time
-Planning the work and efficiently organizing the site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines
-Preparing reports as required
-Monitoring the execution of the project work
Site Work / Inspections:
-Supervising the execution of the following activities;
-Infrastructure Works (water, sewerage, irrigation, telecom and electrical systems)
-Road Works (kerb stone, pavement and Interlock works)
-Concrete works, including formwork, reinforcement and casting
-Construction Works (steel fixing, formwork, scaffolding, Concrete works)
-Acting as the main technical adviser for subcontractors, craftsmen and operatives
-Resolving unforeseen technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise at the site
-Setting out, leveling and surveying the site
-Ensuring all materials used and work performed are as per specifications
-Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of
Sub-Contractors
-Overseeing health and safety matters on site
-Supervision of works on site ensuring compliance with specifications, contract requirements and the implementation of quality control procedures.
