• Responsible for FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Corniche
Activation, Hospitality, Training sites & outside presentation facilities logistics operations.
• Sourcing transport and machinery suppliers as per project requirement
• Responsible for creating a logistics schedule for equipment being mobilized to the project
and onward dispatch to each of the individual locations.
• Coordinates with warehouse and work site for material requirements
• Responsible for transport arrangements for material deliveries to work site.
• Arranging machinery such as forklifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, boom lifts, cranes and
which ever work site may require.
• Ensuring all machineries have proper third-party Certificates and condition to adhere safety
protocols at work site.
• Understanding the site locations and generators allocations to ensure proper installation
machinery requirement for installation.
• Coordinating with transporters and site in charge to ensure the smooth deliveries and avoid
delays.
• Work collaboratively with logistics, warehouse & operations teams during the planning and
execution of the demobilization phase of the project to minimize cost exposure and
maximize resource efficiency.
• Coordinating and ordering fuel from Woqod for site requirement
• Applying for vehicle entry permit through GWC MDS (Master delivery schedule)
• Preparing delivery notes and collection notes
• Checking and confirming invoices from transport/machinery suppliers
• Maintaining spread sheets and records
• Perform other task assigned (assisting Logistics Manager on day-to-day activities)
- Responsible for import/export/temporary Import and customs clearance for construction materials, irrigation materials, landscaping materials and machineries for Agriculture.
- Well experienced obtaining Ministry approvals for chemical/fertilizer/plants and machineries shipments
- Securing freight rates with freight forwarders/shipping lines and coordinating with overseas suppliers to arrange collection of the shipments.
- Facilitating delivery of shipments to warehouse/nursery and various project sites
- Coordinating with Finance Department to follow up payments and Letter of Credits
- Applying for Custom refunds and chasing supplier for credit notes
- Responsible for insuring all import shipments
- Supporting overseas suppliers to prepare shipping documents according to Qatar Customs Regulations
- Responsible for air, sea and land freight import/export shipments (EXW, FOB, FCA, CIF, CFR)
- Plans & schedules appropriate mode of Transport for shipments based on operational needs in coordination with purchase department
- Coordinating with suppliers head quarter to obtain specific product information, such as volume, commodity and cargo availability etc.
- Sending RFQ to various forwarder on Freight and Selection will be done based on the best rate and best transit time
- Ensures proper shipping documents are prepared by supplier for customs clearance and to match QCA and international requirements
- Responsible for arranging insurance on every shipment (If required) and liaising with insurance company in the event of claim
- Liaising with government bodies & agencies in coordination with forwarders & port agent for approval & clearance of cargo coming under dangerous good (EPC)
- Preparing documents for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) product registration: type of approval and other approvals.
- Coordinating with customs agents for prompt clearance of shipments & timely delivery of the material to warehouse or costumer site
- Maintaining and updating organized filling system and records
