I moved across the bank to join the Private Banking team, major tasks include:
• Providing exceptional service to UHNW clients in executing their requests/ instructions.
• Interacting with the respective areas within private clients/correspondents to ensure client requirements are met through an effective service delivery.
• Act as a trusted advisor for the clients by assisting them with investment while avoiding risks that might diminish the value of their assets.
• Responsible for accomplishing deposit and loan volume goals, and establishing a network of new prospects.
• Stay abreast of key market developments.
• Developing investment proposals and solutions depending on the goals fixed clients’ assets and the chosen investment policy.
• Monitoring advances extended against portfolios while ensuring conformity with BDL respective rules and regulations.
• Issuing the income statement and other reports for the private banking department.
I was recruited with Al-MAWARID Bank through an M&A between the bank and the finance institution that was acting as the bank’s private and investment banking. As an Operations Officer, I worked closely on revenue analysis and cost control processes. Major tasks included:
• Performed analysis and reporting functions related to operations of the bank to generate additional revenues, reduce costs, improve efficiency and reduce errors.
• Performed periodic control functions.
• Prepared operational reports required for forecasting growth and business focus
• Improved existing processes or implemented new processes. Participated in process improvement projects, including quality process implementation, re-design, automation, and testing.
I started my career with AM Financials as an officer in the Middle Risk Office was promoted to Middle Office Supervisor in 6 months. As a Middle Office Supervisor, I have dealt with several client portfolios and trading desk employees where I was responsible for leading the management of investment products in Asset and Wealth Management with an objective to achieve all volume, revenue, and profit targets through mitigating risk resulting from trading operations. Major tasks included:
• Followed-up with the smallest movements in the market and reacted to a change in parameters and constituents that is not already implied by the current market price.
• Informed the trading desk employees on all changes and set limitations to certain operations to protect the institution’s rights.
• Supervised the recording of the purchase/sale of investments originated from portfolio and fund managers, based on their written instructions and confirmed by the trading desk employees.
• Prepared NAV computations and other periodic reports, highlighting on the risks resulting from the trading desk; for the Middle Office Manager’s review.
• Logged queries/problems of portfolio managers, traders, and security markets to escalate where necessary for timely resolution.
• Gathered information, about mispriced assets, detailed data analysis and valuation.
• Developed and maintained productive working relationships with client.
• Worked effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress.
Bogofinance is one of the leading independent wealth management firms, offering fee-based asset management and comprehensive financial planning to affluent clients. I started my career with them as a Trader executing orders on multiple trading platforms and interacting with clients and the investment team. Major tasks included:
• Collated relevant market information and data.
• Determined market sentiment via research, valuation and data analysis.
• Monitored capital market performance.
• Executed trades via several platforms, and dealt with various instruments (futures, spot, stocks..)
