To support and advice Team Leaders on the development and enhancement of Company's HSEMS processes in order to achieve HSE targets and key performance measures.
To communicate the HSE policy and HSE strategies across the team and visibly demonstrate commitment to HSE.
• Providing technical support and guidance in the development & implementation of HSE MS processes/systems and identifying opportunities for enhancement
• Providing expert advice on HSE issues related to company’s day-to-day operations/ Business
• Supporting in incident prevention, HSE studies and HSE MS audits, as applicable
• Reviewing and analyzing the quality of HSE deliverables and performance trends and, advising on improvement measures
• Updating team leaders on the best practices in HSE, including advising on the most appropriate solutions on tackling health, safety and environmental issues and Concerns
• Reviewing the approach and techniques on effective management of health, safety and environmental risks
• To be fully familiar with clients HSE requirements and represent the company in resolving HSE related issues.
• Perform inspections, internal audits and risk assessments on site and plants on scheduled basis as per Company Health, Safety & Environment Management System and Clients norms.
• Investigate incidents and performs reporting requirements of both company and clients.
• Develop the HSE related training and awareness courses for workers in line with the clients training program for implementation during the course of the project.
• To maintain good communication and relation with counterparts, to ensure that HSE concerns are tackled in a professional way.
• Collaborate with workers/clients to institute control and remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions or equipment.
• Provide solution to minor HSE matters at work site level, keeping records for learning’s /trends, and alert management for major issues which require their intervention.
• Participate and analyze accident/ incident HSE reports.
• Ensure that requirements in the maintenance of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 are maintained as per company Integrated Management System.
•Responsible in the preparation of the Project HSE Plan as HSE requirements in the project and our clients.
•Fully conversant with all local regulations and experienced in the field of HSE management.
•Supervise and monitor in the implementation of Integrated Management System and Project HSE Plan.
•Carry out HSE audit in association with the senior site staff to see that only safe methods of working are in operation and that all regulations are being observed.
•Stop the activities in cases where any danger of the employee, clients and its properties
•Ensure a daily site HSE activities shall be recorded and file.
•Determine the cause of any incident or dangerous occurrence and recommend means of preventing recurrence.
•Responsible in reporting and recording incidents in the incident file, collect and formulate data for inclusion in the monthly HSE report and submit to QHSE Department.
•Ensure that all scaffoldings, lifting tools and tackles, third party certificates, plants and equipment’s, etc. are inspected before use and kept file/records.
•Coordinate with Client and sub-contractors HSE Representative to bind the Integrated Management System and HSE rules and regulations.
•Liaise closely with Division/Department/Project Manager.
•Conduct Emergency evacuation drill and prepare and submit the report to HSE Department.
•Liaise with the client and company management on the notification of an emergency situation.
•Ensure adequate firefighting facilities are provided, maintained and inspected on site and kept records.
•Coordinates or directs testing of air quality, noise, temperature, or radiation to verify compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
GPA when I graduated was 85%.
