As rail system manager supervises the delivery of the Line 1 and Line 3, playing a key role in decision-making of project priorities planning, based on project indicator metrics and project key player’s action follow up on main construction/installation/T&C progress milestones.
Main interface with the Ministry of Transport and with the Independent Safety Assessor.
Involved in all key railway engineering processes as well, such as configuration, requirements and change management, asset management, maintenance management, etc. being “work-flow closure leader” in the EDRMS process.
In the context of the Education City Tram System Operation is also responsible for the whole Tram System network operation.

Main achievements:
Finalization of the Handover of the Line 2 Education City Tram and achievement of the Certification for Infrastructure and Operation (Commencement of Passenger Service on the 24th December 2019) issued by the Ministry of Transport

Systems Assurance Manager (Client-side role)
PMC Systems Assurance Team project manager for the Doha Metro Project with the following responsibilities:
Overseeing the systems design, installation testing and commissioning on behalf of the client and the coordination of System Assurance documents design review for all subsystems (Signaling, Telecom, SCADA, Platform Screen Doors, Energy, Tunnel Ventilation System, Depot Equipment and MEP, Rolling Stock, Automatic Fare Collection, Track) including EMC and Fire/Life documents. Participation in Safety Steering Committee meetings.
Main tasks are also to:
Elaborate strategies to ensure timely delivery of key Systems Assurance documents and installation/T&C activities and reports by the Contractor
Facilitate resolution of installation issues by proactively investigating with the contractor for safe and suitable resolutions, adopting a delivery mindset
Ensure that the Contractor's systems assurance activities are fully compliant with EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129 and MODSafe.
Perform monitoring of Contractor’s system assurance tasks regarding testing of main safety functionalities and integration of the entire Doha Metro Project in accordance with the governing contracts.
Chair the Hazards Review Panel and all the key Systems Assurance meetings with main Stakeholders
Chair the HAZOP sessions for the establishment of the Operational Hazard Log and safety-related SOPs (Standard and Safety Operating Procedure)
Main achievements:
Safety Review Panel approval of all the subsystems and system safety related test reports against Hazard Log (final safety cases)
Finalization of the system handover to the operator/service provider for the Doha Metro Red Line and achievement of the Infrastructure and Operation Certificate issued by the Ministry of Transport (MoTC)

In charge of RAMS, Safety Certification and Licensing of the SRO - Haramain High Speed Line.
The role involved the project management on behalf of the client of the systems design, installation and T&C to meet employer’s requirements.
Auditing Contractor's design team and construction site team with respect to Quality assurance/management processes.
Main tasks are also to:
Perform construction site inspections, defining action plans and follow up with key contractor’s players to resolve the issues related to systems installation, systems functionalities and compliance to standards.
Establish and maintain Hazard Log and Safety Cases based on evidence (inspections/demonstrations/test reports)
Attending FATs and testing of safety functionalities and supervising installation and T&C activities
Identify corrective actions on technical processes and maintain KPIs
Verify, through audit and inspection on site, whether proper change management process for safety related changes (PCCFs, red line drawings, etc.) is applied
Main Achievements:
Approval of key Systems RFIs (request for inspection), together with operational hazard log and rule book as prerequisite for successful handover to the Duty Holder/Operator (2018)
Resolution of major construction/installation technical buildings issue (North Line section)

for the SAR Saudi Landbridge Railway Project

The role involved, in addition to the above, supervision of the PMC engineering team: (structures, hydrology, geology, track, earthworks, architectures, Operation and Maintenance, MEP, Signaling, GSM-R and fixed TLC, OCC/SCADA, RAMS, Systems Engineering, Security Assurance, Rolling Stock). KPIs monitoring

Main tasks were also:
•Liaise with the Client for technical and project management aspects
•Supervision leader of the engineering process performed by the Design Consultant and the coordination of the PMC engineering team in order to perform a coordinated, risk-based and effective technical review.
•Leadership of systems engineering process.

Main achievement:
•Led the Contractor for all the aspects related to the submission to the AHJs, i.e. SRC (Saudi Committee for Railway Safety) and Civil Defense (Fire Brigades Corp) achieving the approval up to Mid Term Design milestone. That including Sand mitigation measures baselined (mitigation of the sand drift effect and related decision making processes - this task implies development of 3D models and mock-up for RAM demonstration) and Change management for major Network requirement change (maximum rolling stock length: from 2km up to 4km).

System integration manager for the SAR Saudi Landbridge Railway Project
The role involved the direct report to the Program Delivery Director and the supervision of the following disciplines: System Integration, System Assurance (RAMS), Requirements Management, Interface Management, Change Management and Configuration management.
Main tasks were also to:
•Supervision of design review for the Signaling and Telecommunication System, Fire Life Safety Strategy and Security Assurance Process.
•Liaises with the Client for technical and project management aspects
•Develops and Manages the PMC's Project Management Manual in conjunction with the Program Delivery Director and the system integration strategy and requirements along the lifecycle, having the PMC the role of Lead Integrator for the whole System to final System Acceptance.
Main achievement:
•Promoted to additional engineering disciplines supervision (see Engineering manager for the SAR Saudi Land bridge Railway Project role above)

Project manager for innovative safety systems to be realized/implemented in the context of High speed and traditional lines operation and infrastructure network management.

Main tasks were also:
•Safety Assessment of Signaling Subsystem Basic Technologies products (diagnostic multifunction-portal - infrared and laser technology, other SIL4 equipment)
•Technical specification and subsequent contract management of safety related studies involving international experts and companies (IR thermography, machine learning based approach for spurious trip mitigation, Rolling stock fire hazard analysis)
•Review test procedures and attending related testing activities
