Leading the development, implementation and management of an effective financial literacy programme
for NBAD, involving the key areas of the business, including compliance and risk, to align the bank with
recommendations and directives on financial literacy from UAE Central Bank and UAE Banks Federation
(UBF).
• Leading the design and implementation, with key internal stakeholders, of an effective volunteer strategy
and programme which engages staff, uses and develops the core talents of the bank, makes a positive
contribution to communities in which the bank operates, and achieves high levels of employee participation.
• Lead the development and implementation of programmes/activities aimed at raising/improving employee
awareness of social responsibility and the bank’s performance in this area (eg annual employee wellness
day, annual employee charity day, etc) including the development of relevant policies and processes.
• Work together with the relevant Group Marcom and Commercial Banking team members to gain a full
understanding of the purpose of the bank’s citizenship programmes that deliver social value and contribute
to the successful delivery of the initiatives.
• The main point of contact with key government agencies and NGOs and other stakeholders on social
initiatives, including preparation and submission of the CSR Label.
• Work together with the CS team to develop and deliver an effective group sustainability strategy.
• Understand and keep updated on industry relevant social standards and relevant legislation, international
guidelines and frameworks (eg SROI, Sustainability Development Goals, SA8000, etc) that affect the bank to
effectively measure and manage the bank’s social performance and prepare proposals for adoption of
frameworks, submissions and reports where required.
