 Assists doctors during consultations and surgical procedures
 Maintains infection control principles
 Takes appropriate nursing actions in emergency situations and other situations
 Takes responsibility for maintaining own professional development, updating knowledge to reflect best practice, and sharing knowledge with others
 Schedules patient appointments and implement appointment reminder system
 In consultation with the doctors, maintain an effective medical records filing system
 In consultation with the doctors, maintain an effective system for ensuring medical results are communicated promptly to patients
 Undertake the collection and distribution of incoming mail and the posting of outgoing mail
 Maintain an effective insurance and patient billing system
