Exploration studies in Togo (Africa)
• Geophysical studies in Lome and Savanes regions, Togo, Africa for the selection of potential locations for boreholes/wells. Designed well tests. Preparation of a tender for geophysical investigations.
Environmental studies in France
• Tender preparation for a feasibility study to increase the production rate of 5 water wells and to put 2 into production. Definition of the catchment areas, intrinsic vulnerability studies, pressure diagnosis, perimeter of protection. Implementation of public utility declaration.
High Speed 2 Project (UK)
• Environmental consents coordination, preparation, assurance, and submission following priorities according to construction program.
• Responsible for hydraulics studies: watercourse diversion, flood modelling, impact assessment, mitigation, etc.
• Integration of technical information from different disciplines to solve design challenges. Management of design interfaces: drainage, structure, flood model, groundwater, environmental, etc.
• Interface with stakeholders: Environment Agency, EKFB, HS2, WSP.
• Planning and preparation of design reviews.
• Environmental Baseline Studies and Environmental Impact Assessment.
Main achievements:
- Delivered design products according to the standards, meeting project deadlines. Identified key environmental risks, provided optimal solutions.
• Project management: definition of project specifications, risks, planning, collaborative work techniques, communication methodologies, etc.
Environmental Studies - Eastern Europe:
• Carried out geological studies in the reservoirs of the Pannonian Basin. Performed data modelling, water quality and risk of pollution studies.
Main achievements:
-Improved the understanding of conditions controlling geogenic arsenic pollution. Gained experience in the international environmental regulatory framework
New Business-Development - North Sea, Kurdistan, Kazakhstan
• 2D/3D seismic interpretation to support new business evaluations and field development plans. Seismic reservoir characterization.
• Well data analysis and interpretation, structural and velocity modelling
• Technical reports preparation; Field and Master Development Plans.
• Selected drilling locations for appraisals wells. Well planning.
• Participated in the development of static models for carbonates fractured reservoirs in Kurdistan and clastic reservoirs in the N Sea.
• Company representative during technical meetings with partners.
• Member of the company training team; close collaboration with colleagues to define guidelines for data interpretation/management.
• Projects:
-Swara Tika (Kurdistan): Structural modelling and Discrete Fracture Network generation. Management of the water produced in the hydrocarbon fields: hydrogeological studies.
-Dunga Field (Kazakhstan): Velocity modelling. Supervision of seismic processing.
-N Sea Business Project: Seismic interpretation for a HPHT field, highly compartmentalized required for a joint development.
-Johan Sverdrup Project (N Sea). Interpretation on Geostreamer PSTM, PSDM and Broadseis seismic data for field development purposes: planning of development wells. Seismic stratigraphic features analysis to support sequence stratigraphy studies.
Main achievements:
-Proposed a methodology to assess interpretation uncertainties, used as base material for in-house training.
-Key member in the definition of a workflow to create a DFN model in Kurdistan, used to successfully implement appraisal wells.
-Performed a new interpretation of a North Sea HPHT field that was used as a base concept for a joint development negotiation.
Exploration - Llanos Basin and Foothills - Colombia
• 2D-3D seismic interpretation to support the evaluation of the area. Supervision of data processing, Performed regional studies.
• Followed-up drilling operations, supervised well data acquisition.
Main achievements:
-Delivered a portfolio of ranked prospects.
-The high-quality interpretation of the area in addition to a new regional velocity model, allowed a better screening of the exploration portfolio with the result of three oil discoveries.
2004 → 2008 - New business - Exploration- Egypt, Colombia and Algeria.
• Well and seismic data analysis and modelling to support evaluations of E&P areas during bid rounds and farm-in opportunities. Gained experience in data rooms.
• Regional scale studies to generate/develop exploration concepts. Volumetrics and risk analysis; geostatistical and probabilistic methods.
• Participated in the development of a regional data base.
• TOTAL E&P (2005-2006 in Pau, France). Geophysicist in a multidisciplinary team (SONATRACH, Cepsa, TOTAL) to evaluate Bechar area (Algeria).
Main achievements:
-Key member in the creation of the database and regional interpretations that allowed more efficient new business evaluations.
-Significant acreage augmentation in the company exploration areas in Colombia and Egypt, after sound evaluations.
