• Contribute to capacity development of counterparts on H&N program implementation through facilitating training sessions and on the job training to service providers on different H&N topics such as (CMAM, IYCF, EPI, IMCI and integrated package ) as per the RWP, in order to improve the quality of the services provided
• Collect, review and compile monthly data on EPI, H&N for the supported governorate( Rima & Mahweet) in collaboration with GHO’s program focal points
• Provide a monthly and quarterly progress report of the implemented activities against the planned tasks as per RWP and monitor the progress made, and draft appropriate recommendations

•Follow up management of stocks with the Logistics and Administration; monitor rates of consumption and ensure supplies are ordered in a timely manner
•Ensure all criteria are respected and understood by the teams, including admission, discharge and transfer to and from the various components of the programme, all medical and nutritional protocols, and their application
•Ensure the beneficiaries, caretakers and members of the community are treated respectfully at all times
•Ensure all authorities and communities are kept well informed of the programme,
•Prepare monthly progress reports, Donor Reports, BVA, IPTT statistic reports and an end of project final report


Acting as health managers:
This the role as acting health manger: responsible for the planning and implementation of all health program activities in the Hodeida

1-KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
A-Program Planning and Implementation
1-With supports from Health Advisor & AM develop, implement and monitor monthly activity plans to achieve expected results. This includes planning of activities, budgets and procurement
2-Ensure that all planned activities are implemented on time, to quality measures and within budget as per the monthly plan. Where challenges arise, ensure that these are flagged early, communicated to the Area Manager and Health Advisor and addressed in an appropriate and timely way.
3-Technically lead program activities especially training and ensure that they are being implemented within SC’s and international quality standards
4-Lead the preparation of all procurement and administrative documents required for program implementation.
5-Coordinate across different program activities to ensure that they are synchronized in a logical order.
B-Staff supervision and mentorship
1-Identify any staffing issues (day-to-day management and/or technical issues) and coordinate closely with the Area Manager and health Advisor to resolve them
2-Supervise and mentor direct reports ensuring that they are empowered to achieve their performance objectives and program results
3-Build capacity of direct reports in technical and administrative areas
C-Monitoring and Reporting
1- Ensure that all program data is properly and regularly collected by field staff, check data and ensure that it is logically presented to the Area Manager and/or Health Advisor
2- Contribute to the preparation of internal and external reports Bullet point, Donor report)
4-Lead on and complete weekly strep reports and data to feed into the monthly MEAL reports (IPTT)
5-Participate in team reviews of results and program progress ( BVA & IPTT)
D-Collaboration and Representation
1-Represent Save the Children and the program with government and non-governmental agencies to explain the program, secure their support and follow up with them on progress ( sub-cluster -ICCM & Review meeting with Government
2-Actively participate in the office Coordination Team bringing key issues, proposing solutions and collaborating with other teams to build synergies and efficiencies.

1-Actively participate in the Country Office’s planning processes as requested ( Strategy )
2-In case of emergency, be prepared to contribute to the delivery of an appropriate and timely response.
