The Emirates Foundation is a philanthropic organization set up by the Government of Abu Dhabi to facilitate new public-private funded initiatives which benefit the community and welfare of the people across the UAE. Upon joining in 2006, EF was a team of only 4 employees in which we worked together to cover all duties from HR related matters all the way to the actual project development and implementation. These projects included Masdar, Tawteen, and Takatof, to name a few, as well as
taking care of other business such as research, communications, recruitment of additional employees, and other day to day activities. Over the years as the EF expanded and evolved into its own organization, departments were formed and my focus was within the Education department. Today the
EF has over 50 employees.
-Developed projects known today as Masdar, Tawteen, and Takatof
-Planned events and managed the logistics (such as Tawteen Symposium 2007, Experts Panel event, Donors Recognition event)
-Attended Executive Board Meetings with Board Members & Senior Management
-GIFTS Grant Management Software
-Researched on special issues (such as scholarships, universities, social issues)
-Implemented and shaped the Takatof program (Volunteer Program)
-Updated the website with volunteer opportunity information
-Liaised activities for the volunteers
-Met with Special Care Centers & Universities
-Met with the volunteers
-Executed school renovations across the UAE with the volunteers
