Project Planning & Control
• Responsible for planning & implementing Project Construction Activities, Preparation of Project schedules, Resource planning, Material control activities of EPC stage of all Facility Projects of the Company.
• Estimate all the planning and schedule requirement of the projects.
• Identifying and developing an Integrated Project plan, WBS, schedules, Milestones and Budget
• Set work program and target milestones for each phase based on the project plan and update on regular intervals
• Cost load the schedule for forecasting revenue and prepare the S-curve
• Monitor critical activities based on the project schedule and advise PMT for any critical shortfall.
• Monitor day to day work progress and prepare / monitor the daily, weekly, and monthly program and report as per Contract requirements.
• Participate in progress review meetings and discussions with Customer as required.
• Liaise with Subcontractor construction representatives for the implementation of schedules as per target
• Review and approve the progress measurement of Subcontract works in coordination with QS.
• Preparing work program, cash flow and manpower histogram for tenders
Contracts
• Manage a team of Quantity Surveyors for preparing monthly running bills and Coordinating with Client-QS for clearing Civil, Piping, E&I, Structure and Equipment (Static and Rotary) invoices.
• Liase with Contracts Manager for reviewing Work orders, Issuance of Sub-Contracts and Close-out of Subcontracts.
Project Planning & Control
• In charge for Planning the Piping, Mechanical and Structural works of the project.
• Plan, schedule and Mobilize Direct workmen, Staff and required Plant & Machinery as per Base line schedule
• Assisting Construction Head in allocating responsibilities for Engineers & supervisors and maintaining responsibility flow
• Prepare execution plans and Monthly schedule updates
• Direct and Supervise the preparation of Daily & Weekly Progress reports
• Vendor appraisal, scrutinizing quotations and finalizing work orders.
• Subcontractor management and conducting periodic review meeting with subcontractor heads to ensure smooth work flow and resolve the constraints in supply chain and deliverables.
• Analyze store inventory and initiate purchase request to maintain safety stock levels of Tools, tackles and project consumables as per economic lot quantities.
• Building rapport with suppliers to form effective supply network to ensure deliverables just in time
• Prepare and deliver monthly & ad-hoc progress presentations for CEO review
• Scope management and highlight top management about the additional requirement of materials and resources required as per the revised scope.
• Liaise with Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Quality for resolving site related engineering, materials and quality issues
Planning
• Piping & Mechanical works planning co-ordination for all sites (CIPF, GC15, GC23, GC25, SWTP)
• Planning and controlling Piping fabrication shop activities and job card issue to subcontractors. Fabrication, erection and testing of 240, 000 ID of CS & SS piping, 75, 000 ID of U/G RTR Piping for the project including 120, 000 ID of CS/SS, 36, 000 ID of U/G RTR Piping for CIPF.
• Conducting subcontractor meetings for reviewing fabrication shop progress against daily target.
• Planning and controlling Weekly erection of A/G pipe spools, U/G RTR Piping, Structure, and Shelter.
• Planning and controlling Weekly package testing of above ground pipe spools and Underground RTR Piping.
• Detailed reporting of site erection priority status on a weekly basis to Client, sub-contractors, fabrication shop for effective monitoring of spools fabrication / delivery to site.
• Daily commodity progress tracking and mid-week progression trend reporting to Project Manager, Project Director.
• Conducting weekly progress review meeting with site in charges for week target finalization and resolving site related issues.
• Shutdown works planning and Tie-in field co-ordination.
• Monitor consumable consumption and workmen productivity. Carry out front analysis and fix priorities accordingly
• Preparing Daily Progress report, Weekly progress report, Weekly PMS update to client as a part of client reporting deliverables and attending Weekly progress review meeting with Client.
• Taken responsibility as ‘Planning in charge - Acting’ during the absences of ‘Planning- Manager’ and guided the team and supported the top management on delivering required schedules and reports.
Contracts
• Preparing work orders for subcontractors.
• Preparing monthly running bills and Coordinating with Client-QS for clearing Piping, Structure and Equipment (Static and Rotary) invoices.
• Preparing cost variation claims for mechanical (piping, structure, etc.) modification works.
• Certification of Subcontractor bills for Piping, Structure and Equipment (Static and Rotary).
• Involved in project closeout -AFC quantities take off and As built drawing final quantity close out (piping, structure, equipment) as per contract with client and sub-contractors.
• Preparing Contractual letters with respect to management concerns with client and sub-contractors.
Responsible for,
• Materials Requirements planning for Monthly plan using long term planning function in SAP system.
• Calculating Consumables requirement based on monthly plan.
• Preparing and publishing Material delivery schedules to Corporate - Planning, Purchase.
• Estimating and publishing Annual Budget for the department to Corporate - Finance.
• Monitoring, analyzing and publication of Production trend to Corporate - Planning, Logistics.
• Contract manpower requirement calculation and monthly manpower planning based on established plan.
• Establishing Inventory norms for Raw materials and Consumables based on Warehousing, Logistics, Technical and Purchase constraints.
• Ordering Material Handling equipments and other auxiliaries requirement calculation based on projected annual plan.
• Monitoring material transfers and Worksheet auditing in SAP system for reducing/eliminating accounting errors.
• Conducting Elemental study and fixing the production norms, incentive schemes, and crew strength.
• Design of Systems and Procedures, work flow and job responsibilities for Plant activities.
• Work performance monitoring and analysis to report on major losses to concerned area.
