Performs a systematic initial head to toe assessment of the OPD patient’s physical and psychosocial status, specific to the age of the patient.
• Prepare the clinic on daily basis ensuring it is ready to receive both Doctors and patients.
• Performs IV cannulation, giving IM.IV, SC, and blood extraction and medications to the patients.
• Undertakes specified clinical activities and tests for patient, with the scope of established clinical protocols, policies and procedures.
• Knowlegde of wound dressings, suture removal, and clip removal.
• Provides relevant health information to patients and cares within defined protocols under DHA and Jcia.
• At all times observes infection control procedures to protect self, patients and collegues infection control link nurse in the department.
• Carries out physician’s orders and reviews nursing and medical orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Assisting physician during physical examinations and procedures like plalet rich plasma (PRP), Steam Cell Therapy, Prolotherapy, Intra-articular injection and vaccination.
• Checking the stock on regular basis for maintaining the inventory level, and placing orders as required.
• Attending educational workshops for enhancing professional and technical knowledge.
• Assist in maintaining a safe working environment for self, patients and the multi-disciplinary team, alerting other members of the team to issues of quality and risk identified in work with patients.
• Educate patients through various health teaching.
• Daily practice of effective communication with the health care team and patients..
• Knowledge with insurance for surgeries, diagnostic procedures and other investigation.
• Deep knowledge of computer skills such as data entry, word processing and database programs, internet, email and to track and manage patients using the functionality of the electronic health record.
• Convey relevant information and receive feedback from Head Nurse.

• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• Takes Vital signs, records and reports to charge nurse/head nurse for possible abnormalities.
• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
• Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment or supplies and ensure that stock of supplies is maintained.
• Assisting physician during procedures.
• Maintain professional relationship with colleagues. Preserve good interpersonal communication skills with colleagues and patients.

• Administering medication in different ways asper the physician order and according to the seven medication rights to avoid medications errors.
• Charting and documentation of patient care.
• Educate patients for homecare and discharge planning.
• Taking care of orthopedic controlled drugs and medical supplies.

Observes proper aseptic techniques especially before and after handling the patient.
• Vital signs monitoring-collects and analyzes cardiovascular, respiratory body temperature data to determine and prevent complications .
• Prepare the clinic on daily basis ensuring it is ready to receive both Doctors and patients
• Assists physician in giving vaccinations, procedures and physical examinations
• Collects samples of patient urine and stools for laboratory test
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel
• Maintains good interpersonal relationship with the staff in the professional environment.
• Teach the patients and their families how to manage their illness or injury by explaining post treatment home care needs, diet, nutrition and exercise programs and self-administration of medication and physical therapy.
