Served as RN at the hospital with 150 bed capacity. Required to work rotational shifts as part of a multi disciplinary healthcare team that is delivering general medical services to patients. Providing medical screening and advice to patients, appropriate assessment; planning; implementation and evaluation of care needs.

DUTIES: o Meeting a patient's nursing care needs.
o Assisting with the care of patients with chronic illness.
o Assessing clients emotional, psychosocial, physical and spiritual needs.
o Arranging patient admissions and discharges.
o Monitoring a patient's condition by taking temperature, pulse, respirations and weight.
o Communicating professionally and warmly with a patient's visitors and family.
o Maintaining the dignity and privacy of all patients and respecting theirs rights to confidentiality.
o Preparing sterile trolleys and medical equipment for clinical procedures.
o Ensuring medicines are properly received, stored and administered to patients.
o Complying with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines.
o Ensuring specimen are correctly labeled, packaged and recorded prior to collection.
o Supporting any new staff members during their induction and with new skills acquisition.
o Carrying out routines investigations and care procedures such as intravenous infusions and injections.
