STRATEGY
Developing and implementing the operation strategy that achieved operational revenue increases from $6M USD to over $20M USD within 1 year.
Responsible for expanding the development of POS (Point-of-Sales) from 400+ to 3, 000 units, expanding from one province to ten (out of 20) in Malawi to meet the budget target of $4M USD; expanded from six retail outlets to 100, while ensuring the layouts met branding standards assigned by Editec headquarters.
Lead the integration of 3, 000 terminals and POS systems, to include telecoms through “Biller Information" to obtain automatic credit limit to increase sales, integrate mobile money automatic pay-outs, and increase the process of blocking/unblocking agents who have not paid their dues to increase sales by 140% and $500K USD per month in extra turnover.
Successfully launched a partial integrated betting website in 2019 to pay through ‘online vouchers or through terminals, acquiring additional annual revenue of $1M USD.
Supporting an active 120K user based with 5.2b clicks.
Creating and preparing financial forecasts, budget and sales target projections for overall operations that includes: distribution network (POS), retail outlets, and the online betting website.
Responsible for the cash flow of $40M USD annually and monitoring the monthly P&L, ensuring the yearly KPIs are achieved; submitting monthly and quarterly reports for sales/margin performance to HQ.
LEADERSHIP
Effectively recruiting, inducting, leading, managing, training and developing three Commercial Managers; Managing direct employment for field supervisors, area managers, 800 local, headquarter and retail employees and 4000 commission-based agents.
Provided remote training to managers and staff through online training modules to ensure the required standards, appropriate learning and development, communication skills, retail training, marketing, IT, terminal / POS, product knowledge, field visits, sales department, finance and cash office, HR and the regional general knowledge of onboarding required for Editec.
