Providing basic healthcare needs to a company’s employees. This
includes administering first aid where needed and evaluating
employees’ overall health.
Take responsibility for the safe storage of equipment and
administration of prescribed medications.
Responsible for coordinating with the company’s healthcare
provider to set up annual exams and physicals for all employees.
Raise healthcare awareness. This includes evaluating an
employee’s health and making lifestyle recommendations to
improve their health.
Promotes and maintains a safe and comfortable environment for
the patient maintaining dignity and privacy at all times.
• Teaches hands on practical skills and concept theories as required in the training course.
• Participates in the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of EMS educational program offerings.
• Prepares and delivers training courses either at the EMS academy or off-site, as needed.
• Supervises the activities of participants ensuring a comprehensive learning experience among participants
• Evaluates learner performance, provides feedback, and develops learner remediation plans.
• Participates in the formulation of continuing professional development programs, where applicable
• Participates in activities that promote the EMS Academy, to include student recruiting, and program marketing events.
• Conducting seminars and trainings to staff of various companies and corporations for first aid and basic life support program.
• Assigned in various departments such as but not limited to neurology, pediatrics, orthopedics, ophthalmology, internal medicine, and general medicine.
• Capable for rendering nursing care to both local and foreign patients in clinical set-up to achieve optimal health.
• Provides general nursing care in out-patient and emergency cases and carry out physician’s order.
• Promotes and maintains a safe and comfortable environment for the patient maintaining dignity and privacy at all times.
• Assists physician to provide the health care needs of the patient such as but not limited to wound dressing, suturing and casting procedure.
• Provide adequate health teaching to patient and their families.
• Take responsibility for the safe storage and administration of drugs and equipment.
• Assist patients with referral to other hospital, prepare documents and ambulance transport
• Administer prescribed medications via oral, intramuscular, intravenous, nebulization and provide health teaching.
• Adapt the protocol of each department and familiarize the use of all the equipment in certain areas such as (ECG machine, Spirometry, Audiometry, Auto-Defibrillators, Cardiac Monitor).
• Processing, submitting, and filing of various health insurance with the coordination and approval of the Medical Coordinator staff.
• Maintain adequate levels of stock for materials and equipment in all treatment and consulting rooms, ensuring no item is past its expiry date and that stock is rotated to minimize wastage.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of room assignment, maintenance of all medical supplies and its expiration based on Supreme Council of Health Qatar policies and regulation.
• Advocates patient’s rights, strives to understand patient’s needs and concerns.
• Receives and endorses patients to appropriate personnel for continuity care.
• Carrying out doctor’s order and assist the physician during rounds.
• Administer medications as ordered.
• Renders direct nursing care with compassion and sensitivity to patient’s needs.
• Performs nursing skills such as intravenous insertion, medication and IV administration, blood and blood product transfusion NGT insertion and feeding, IFC care and insertion, wound dressing, suctioning of secretions, skin testing, assisting nebulization, monitoring progress of labor and fetal heart tone.
• Perform post-mortem care
• Health teachings & prepares discharge/home instructions to the family and patient.
• Assess patient injuries or condition upon reception and clarifies them into emergency/urgent or non-emergency situations which are prioritized in order to be seen by the doctor.
• Gathers nursing history and records patient’s biographical data.
• Initiates appropriate first aid and nursing care.
• Renders direct and ideal nursing skills such as Intravenous insertion, medication and IV administration, blood and blood product transfusion, NGT insertion, medication and feeding, IFC care and insertion, wound dressing, suctioning of secretions, skin testing, assisting nebulization, monitoring of labor and fetal heart tone.
• Arrest-initiate CPR, connects patient to cardiac monitor, prepares materials and equipment for defibrillation and intubation.
• Facilitates patient admissions and manages patient room assignments for isolation or reverse isolation purposes.
• Notes visible injuries seen and secures nature, time, date, and place of incident of patients that may be subjected for medico-legal purpose.
• Facilitates safe transfer of patients to their respective room/bed after they have been stabilized and officially registered at the admitting office.
• Capable of working under pressure in fast- paced environments and managing multiple and diverse task simultaneously.
• Remains calm during tense situations and offers comfort to the patient and the patient’s family that may have been experiencing symptoms of anxiety.
• Registers all the patients handled within the shift to the emergency room logbook.
• Secures inventory of emergency room drugs and availability of oxygen-filled tanks.
• Perform post-mortem care.
