My responsibilities as the Managing General Partner include preparing all budgets, financial plans and financial reports. I maintain all managerial & executive level communications and relations with clients, representing the company in all public interactions and regulatory matters, manage & negotiate all of the company’s contracts with clients and vendors. Additionally I develop the company safety plans, create and track all estimates, schedules and project specific implementation plans.
• Telecommunication Services specializing in the engineering and deployment of fiber optic networks.
• Provide hands on leadership & training of 1st line employees and managers with respect to project methods, understanding of specifications and client relations.
• Successfully achieved Sole U.S. based Global Partner status for Tera-Span.
Directed all company operations on projects in Texas, California, Louisiana and Florida with up to 500 employees. Acquired and completed projects in New Orleans, LA and the Golden Triangle area of SE Texas post Hurricanes Katrina and Rita engineering and restoring telecommunication systems, those projects were completed under budget and ahead of schedule under primitive conditions.
• Recruited by the founder of the company to implement efficiency enhancing management techniques into the telecommunications construction industry.
• Negotiated and managed contracts between clients and vendors.
• Successfully managed to completion projects in excess of $10 million while recognizing profits between 12% & 29%.
• Deployed & encouraged ownership style management techniques throughout all operational levels within the SW Division.
Managed Upgrade projects in Cincinnati OH, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Corpus Christi, TX. The management of these projects included initial due diligence surveys, establishing engineering standards for design, estimating all scopes of work, preparing contract documents for the bid process, overseeing the bid analysis and award & negotiating/maintaining all active client & vendor contracts.
• Co-founder and developer of the “Control Van Management” technique, later deployed nationwide amongst TWCCD Upgrade Projects.
• Recognized by the company for exhibiting excellent work ethics and standards by being promoted early in my career.
• “Managed the Managers” by frequently being dispatched to other projects in order to evaluate and assist Directors where project management & engineering level deficiencies were present.
• Directed the selection, acquisition & logistical placement of capital assets necessary for the completion of all upgrade projects.
• Implemented inventory and material management controls for all new build and upgraded systems from a central warehouse serving 2.5 million households.
