Project Quality Manager for Liwa Plastics Project :
World Scale 880 KTA Ethylene Cracker Project.
Project includes Ethylene Cracker Unit. (EPC - 1)
HDPE Plant, LLDPE Plant, PyGas /MTBE (EPC - 2)
NGLC2+ (FEED) Extraction unit, (EPC - 3)
300KM pipe line for FEED supply to Ethylene Cracker . (EPC - 4)
Overall Project value 6.7 Billion USD, EPC- 1 (Ethylene Cracker Unit) Project alone is valued at 2.8 Billion USD includes utilities, it will enable Oman, for the first time to produce polyethylene, the form of plastic that rates highest.




•Managing Quality on Liwa plastics Project, including Steam cracker project (880KTA), utilities, and off-sites that includes Brownfield and Greenfield management of EPC contractor (Mc Dermott/CBI and CTCI Taiwan).
•Monitor and Control the key Quality activities/ Progress on day-to-day basis of contractor compliance with project Quality requirements.

In my role of EPC Project QA/QC Manager on the ORPIC Integrated Management Team my responsibilities included:

- Development and implementation of Procedures required for Project execution.
- Review of detail Engineering documents prepared by EPC Contractor
- Review of MR’s and PR’s of EPC Contractor for all discipline works.
- QC monitoring and oversight.
- Project Quality reporting
- Management of Non-Conformances
- Review and management of third party inspection authorities, including the approval of invoicing
- Monitoring and correct handling of Critical equipment
- Review and approval of EPC Contractor Documents during procurement and construction
- QA/QC progress reporting, based on input from EPC Contactor
- Review of resource mobilization schedule for key QA/QC staff of EPC Contractors
- Review of all discipline specification for Project works
- Participate in Engineering review, Site review and Management review meetings
- Participate in critical activities such as PIM’s, Project Audits, FAT
- Provide on the job training to Omani Engineers
- Adhere to project specifications
- Manage QA/QC team, ensuring quality is maintained across the spectrum of all four EPC Projects.
- Chairing of Quality meetings.
- Review of site safety procedures and discussion actions with site team.
- Review and analysis of weekly schedule updates.
- Work with all site Quality teams to ensure good working environment.
- Mentor Quality team members in aspects of construction requirements/standards.
- Recommend where possible methods to ensure Quality management in conjunction with smooth running of schedule and planning of expected work load to ensure project is completed on time.
- Review equipment delivery dates on site to ensure Quality interaction proceeds effectively.
- Review mechanical completion Quality requirements of work packages.
- Provide advice and manage all Quality aspects during the Project Execution and Commissioning phases
- Review and approve Project Data Books

Area Quality manager à CCC

In the position of Area QA/ QC Manager in the Western Region (Habshan Area) for CCC on two ADNOC Projects as follows:
1) GASCO IGD-E 114 Km, High pressure, Sour Gas, pipeline of 42” Dia. And wall thickness varying between 31.75mm and 37, 7mm being carried out between Ruwais and Habshan in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi., with Automatic Welding, and PWHT on 37.77mm wall thickness, and NDT by AUT technique, with activities including (ROW, stringing, welding, NDT, coating, hydro test, pre-com, and hookup)



2) ADCO Extension for Bab Habshan -1 development project (phase -II) consisting of construction of 15 wells, comprising of 8 oil wells and 7 water wells including: all Civil Work (leveling, grading, gatch laying, support foundations, fencing); Mechanical Work (piping fabrication, erection, chemical injection tanks, well hookup ); E & I Work (controllers, telecom tower, solar panels )
In addition, there is approx. 70 km flow lines (3", 4", 6") to be connected to the same wells
The activities for pipeline will be (ROW, stringing, welding, NDT, coating, hydro test, pre-com, and hookup).

Was in the position of Project QA/QC and FPD Manager for the Shell / Technip Integrated management team for the Turret Mooring System construction portion of the Shell prelude FLNG project being carried out at Dubai Dry Docks, with SBM as the sub-contractor and Dubai Dry Docks being the sublet subcontractor, until after sail away of final module, and completion of Project Quality Data Books, where my scope of work included : Managing the implementation of all Construction Quality Management Procedures inside Site organization and Subcontractor organizations; In charge of training all supervision personnel to ensure they know, and are able to follow the Contractual Quality requirements; and ensure that construction activities are performed in compliance with the Company Rules and Procedures.
