Context: contract and claim manager in the back office, first for advice, risk analysis and claim management, then on a single multi-project client. On the project management side, Im involved in 4 projects (between €15m and €200m)

• Participated in the preparation and drafting of specifications, ensuring contractual consistency between the various provisions of these specifications and ensured compliance with laws and regulations in the drafting of specifications.
• Prepared a template for analyzing tender documents, monitored the tender phase and associated deadlines, reviewed the limits of responsibilities requested and challenged the technical responses in the light of future contractual requirements, particularly those relating to quality.
• Ensured operational follow-up of ongoing contracts (13 contracts in progress across 4 projects), preparing and
actively participating in monthly meetings.
• Drafted letters, gathering the necessary technical, financial and planning information. The letters are based on
evidence shared by the parties and provide the necessary consistency to be robust about contractual deviations and
rescission issues.
• Kept a close eye on the subjects placed on the critical path and on the sub-critical paths, with analyses of the causes of delays, and recorded a history of the events that finally made up the critical path.
• Quantified the causes of delays based on the analysis of the projects milestone tracking, accompanied by the cost
manager.
• Have prepared negotiation meetings and questions enabling the understanding of inconsistencies and/or grey areas in the claims; evaluated delayed, quality and financial aspects of the claim and its justifications; able to make a
reasonable financial counter-proposal at the right moment in the negotiations and in light of the justifications
provided by the claimant.

Context: liberated company with no legal department. Linked to the purchasing and customer satisfaction department, I audited agreements with regular customers (50 audited) and with historical suppliers (30 audited).
• Carried out contractual comparisons between the various contracts, including T&Cs, to highlight the main strengths and weaknesses, and thus demonstrate the usefulness of formalizing a sales contract that would support the unequivocal consent of the parties. These matrices have led to the drafting of contractual clauses that could be used to oppose certain unfair or even unlawful clauses.
• Presented the conclusions and areas for improvement to the operational teams concerned, i.e. mainly the buyers and business developers; worked to find appropriate solutions and focus on each need and adaptation.

Context: first approach to contract management on the project owners side, a less technical but more financial aspect. This was a full-time 9-month assignment, in tandem with a senior contract manager. The aim of the project is to build and partially automate the RER E in Paris (inner and outer suburbs). The cost of the project is in excess of 1 billion euros.
• Acculturated the project team in contract management and demonstrate the added value of the contract manager in the progress and life of a project. Improve the fluidity of exchanges and interconnections between the various trades.
• Supported the whole project team in analyzing contractual risks in order to improve actions and refine the teams
decision-making.
• Ensured a technical modification tracking to enable the projects history monitoring; defined the scope and the origin of the modification in order to evaluate its cost, as well as the associated responsibility, and therefore the party in charge of resolving it.
• Ensured the distribution of the various funding sources, and provided the necessary and sufficient feedback in line
with agreed commitments; ensured the breakdown of costs between OPEX and CAPEX, between the various project trades, and then the financial breakdown of modifications.
• Drafted amendments to the contract, in order to compensate the contractor for the extra expenses incurred, as well as to modify certain ambiguous or contradictory contractual clauses; drafted the relevant justification notes to justify the increase in project cost to the financial authorities.
