Ensures that all Safety-, Quality- and Environmental requirements are implemented and adhered to by staff and sub-contractors at all times during course of the project.
It is my responsibility for ensuring proper supervision are maintained, especially during high risk on-site activities. Furthermore, I ensure that monthly audits are adhered to by the management team on site.
Control of adherence to Method statements and Risk assessments, Safety Check sheets and the OHS Act and Regulations. I have the overall responsibility for ensuring implementation and adoption amongst all on-site employees.
Overall site management of work activities like. Foundations, Assembly, Erecting and Stringing activities, ensuring that the principal contractor implements and continually updates all relevant SHEQ documentation.
Completes weekly / monthly progress updates. Furthermore, performs regular material reconciliations to ensure that material shortages are managed effectively.
Maintains responsibility for ensuring that work is safely and cost effectively completed during outages for live line and/or existing services crossings.
Attends monthly project meetings representing the principal contractor, continually liaising with and updating client as required.
Manages principal-, and sub-contractors, monitoring and controlling performance.
Health, Safety and Environmental management of the Projects Execution section at Schneider Midrand. I also assist with the Customer Quality requirements as and when required. Well versed in the ISO 9001:2015, ISO 18000, and the ISO 14000 systems and do frequent audits to ensure compliance.

Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; and identifying construction management system improvements.

Accomplishes project results by defining project purpose and scope, establishing standards and protocols, coordinating staff and sub-contractors, evaluating milestone assumptions and evaluating and implementing change orders.

Current Project Involvement: Qunu - Vuyani 132Kv Transmission Line project in Mthatha Eastern Cape region.
Mafini-Tombo 132kV Transmission line project at Port Saint John’s in the Eastern Cape region.
Supervision of electrical and Civil construction, i.e. foundation excavations, rebar fitment, concrete, cube testing, steel tower assembly, tower erecting and all stringing activities of electrical conductor on high voltage transmission towers. HV Yard equipment installation and construction.
Advanced Diploma in Project Management.
