Presently, I am working as a Senior Lecturer at the European International College Abu Dhabi, teaching management subjects as Entrepreneurship, Quality Management, Event Management, Project Management, HRIS and others at both BBA (400) and MBA (600) level.
The key responsibilities include:
• Course Curriculum design and development (identification of learning goals, formulation of appropriate feedback and assessment procedures, selection of most effective teaching methods and learning activities)
• Course structuring and delivery (planning lessons and assignments, lecturing and leading group discussions, grading papers and exams)
• Course completion (course evaluation, identification of the weaknesses and proposing improvements in the course syllabus etc.)
Key responsibilities included:
• Developing annual operating budget of the division
• Managing and maintaining control of revenue and expenditure cycle of the division
• Developing the procedures to detect variance of actual and budgeted costs and diagnosing procedures to assess the causes of variance
• Design of corrective procedures to effect realignment between actual and budgeted costs
• Reporting and data analysis including presentations of various reporting to the Board of Directors
Delivering training to new/existing employees to help the ongoing and long-term improvement of the team’s skills in the respective fields (teaching and helping to new/existing employees with transitioning during the corporate restructuring etc.)
Also I held the position as a Core Team Member of Corporate Unbundling Project.
The legal unbundling of the company aimed at separating the gas transmission activities from the distribution network, as required by the European Union Directive.
As an unbundling Core Team member - nominated by the Assets Division and included in the company restructuring process - my role was focused on overall efficiency, optimization of work processes, streamlining and outsourcing selected support functions (e.g. fleet management) and reduction of company costs.
The tasks related to unbundling project as per Asset Division were:
• Asset evaluation/pricing (transmission, distribution & others)
• Asset transfer (transmission, distribution & others)
• Definitions/details of commercial concept (rent duration, rent fee, costs of each service etc.)
• Financial modelling of the commercial concept among Asset management and other divisions
• Drafting/preparation of inter-divisional agreements (Service level agreements)
• Investment planning processes
Major studies at Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Business Administration. Final Doctoral Research: Analysis of Business Environment in Selected Countries with Focus on the Development of Small and Medium sized businesses The objective of my doctoral research was to analyse the business environment in selected (emerging / growth economy) countries, considering various aspects of economic and legal environments in each. Furthermore, the research explores the growth obstacles and policies to overcome the developmental impact on SMEs (with particular focus on Slovakia), and with conclusions and proposals of corrective measures to promote and stimulate sustained economic growth.
