Responsible for leading the region's strategic planning processes in Asia Pacific. Developed 5-year strategic and investment plans for all business segments in the region. Led large and complex projects involving cross-functional teams to implement prioritized strategic opportunities. Prepared project applications for approval from Bunge Ltd Board of Directors.

- Deployed over USD 500 million (greenfield and M&A projects) in the region which achieved compound annual growth of 12% in volume and 22% in EBIT between 2007 and 2013

- Developed Bunge’s entry strategy into Vietnam. Executed strategy by first acquiring the only commercially available deepwater port for soft commodities and investing in logistics infrastructure to increase discharge rate from 10, 000 to 25, 000 tons per day. Followed up by setting up the first soybean crushing facility in the country next to the port, pre-empting competition and benefiting from economies of scale. Sold a minority stake in the plant to strategic partner in the country. Explored downstream connectivity opportunities by conducting customer research and brand assessment for edible oils in all regions in Vietnam.

- Defined Bunge’s grain origination strategy in Australia and built integrated chain with investments in port elevation and inland logistics facilities with low operational costs, challenging incumbent players

- Evaluated sugar investment opportunities in Asia Pacific. Submitted binding bid for sugar & bionenergy company in Australia totaling USD 130 million. Prepared business cases and valuation models for key targets in India and performed due diligence on selected mills

- Developed Bunge’s feedmilling strategy in Asia and set up four plants in China (two fully owned and two with strategic partner)

- Assessed Bunge’s food business in India. Defined and implemented strategy to become a significant player in all major regions by acquiring retail brands and optimizing plant capacity and footprint in the country
