Responsible for evaluating a student application. They sort according to test score and GPA, as well as read student essays and additional materials, such as a resume or letters of recommendation. Based on the information, I can liaise with academic staff for decisions on applications. Evaluating another college's courses to decide if they might transfer in as equivalent courses at their own institution. Students interested in transferring, for example, from a community college to a state university may meet with an advisor beforehand to see which courses at the community college will satisfy university requirements. This helps the transfer student move faster through her studies, avoid retaking courses and capitalize on other opportunities while working toward her degree. Correspond with applicants and prospective applicants and advise them on application requirements, fees, Scholarship and verification of their documents (Calls inquiries, receives incoming calls and emails. Maintenance of applicant’s records (data entry, filling and ensure all students are admitted and enrolled into their correct program upon registration). Sending out offer and rejection letters. Prepare reports and statistics on potential and accepted applicants from the student database. Perform other related duties.
As for the students Registration, responsible for the supervision and management of all administrative and operational functions of the Office of the Registrar. The Registrar ensures the integrity, accuracy, and security of all academic records of current and former students; facilitate effective student registration and enrollment; builds secure student data files and sets policy and procedure for their responsible use; maintains up-to-date course schedules, catalogs, and final examination schedules; manages efficient use of classrooms; and supervises and maintains the Banner and degree audit systems. The Registrar supervises the processes for the articulation of transfer credits, graduation and certification of baccalaureate and associate degrees, enrollment and degree verification, production of official transcripts, diplomas, and commencement ceremonies. The Registrar counsels and advises students, faculty, and staff on academic matters; and interprets and enforces policies and regulations of the University.
