Control the balance of needs and supplies
- Work with the Clinic Manager to ensure effective clinic management with processes such as patient flow, triage, waste management, and so on.
- Assist the Clinic Manager with the scheduling of clinic staff and ensuring that a daily record of attendance for all employees is properly maintained.
- Supervise clinic staff and the services provided to the clinic beneficiaries.
- Assist the Clinic Manager to ensure proper maintenance of clinic records, including registration, procedures, pharmacy, and referral logbooks by assigned clinic staff and timely data entry into the health information system (HIS).
- Assist with the coordination of routine staff meetings
- Participate in the routine evaluation of the efficiency of the clinic and streamline as needed in consultation with the Clinic Manager.
- Strive to keep client complaints to a minimum by ensuring that beneficiaries are treated with respect and professionalism by all clinic staff
- Handle general complaints from beneficiaries and work with the Clinic Manager to find appropriate solutions.
- In cases where beneficiaries have complaints about physicians and other medical staff, the assistant clinic manager will liaise with the Clinic Manager to find appropriate solutions and should assist with reporting to the senior management for follow-up and other necessary actions.
- Help with the coordination of clinic referrals to other health related services.
- Ensure that requests for clinic supplies such as medications, medical supplies, and cleaning supplies are made in a timely fashion.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation for the various orders/requisitions in completed appropriately.
- Oversee the maintenance of equipment and ensure that all clinic equipment is in good condition at all times
- Ensure integration of clinic services and promote best quality standards for clients relevant to provision of primary health care, reproductive health, nutrition and mental health services
