Taught English Literature, Shakespeare, English and Public Speaking to adult students throughout Europe. The HQ of the University is located in Germany. I taught US military members, their spouses and family members in Germany, Spain and the UK. I taught deployed members on bases in Bosnia, Croatia and Saudi Arabia.
In October 2002 I came to Riyadh to teach a member of the Saudi Royal Family. This consisted of working in conjunction with Skidmore College (NY) UWW. I continued working with this family until the end of 2011 when the contract finished.
Teaching Technical Writing to US Air Force and Navy personnel while on assignment in Spaiin. (Part-time)
I taught courses in English Literature, English, Public Speaking and tested students. I also worked later as an administrator dealing with problems students and faculty may have had with the college and course administration.
I organised, coordinated, and supervised courses for American teachers overseas for on-going teaching accreditation. outside the USA. This was a part-time position. Assisted in initiating and developing a Masters in Education program for overseas teachers and others qualified to participate.
Teaching courses in English as a Second Language and English Literature and American Literature.
Worked teaching English as a Foreign Language to adult students from around the world. Also worked coordinating programs for teenagers from other countries studying English. I located teaching sites, interviewed teachers, arranged a teaching and recreational program and interviewed and assigned families to the students.
Assisted in identifying and recruiting students from other European and North American countries as well as dealing with exchange programs.
I completed an M.Ed.in INternational Education while teaching in Rota, Spain. FSU sent instructors over to teach in-class courses face-to-face on a US Navy base in Rota, Spain. This degree did not require a dissertation as an exam was used in place of one. This degree was accomplished around my normal work schedule.
I completed an M.A. in English Literature on a part-time basis while living in France and the UK. I began it while living in France and finished it living in the UK. No dissertation was required only a cumulative exam. However, I did elect to write a thesis: The societal, polictical and famiial structural impediments for females as examplified in Shakespeare's plays, 'Tamiing of the Shrew' and 'Much Ado About Nothing'.
I began a part time M.A. at Warwick University, England but had to leave the degree to accompany my husband and children when my husband's job called for him to leave the UK and go live and work in France. I returned to begin again at Wroxton College during the summer months until I could return permanently to the UK to complete it.
I completed a B.A. double major English Literature and English History (Stuart and Tudor period). I can't recall my exact GPA only that I never received anything less than a B in any f my courses. The majority being A's.
