I have started this project from scratch, i have designed the curriculum for my school, i have developed the course out line and set goals and objectives for my teachers so that they can follow my vision for the academic success of all students.I manage the day to day operations. I make sure to maintain a healthy academic environment at my school.I monitor and motivate my teachers.
I was working there as a teacher trainer. I designed the course for working teachers keeping in mind their level of understanding. Initially i conducted a pre lesson test to check their level of Understanding. I focused on English Grammar and Phonetics to enhance their Lingual skills. I used Phonetics Exercises by Peter Roach(Audio tapes) for their Phonetics Practice, I also used English rhymes for their Listening practice.I also arranged class discussions for polishing their spoken skills. I taught them English Grammar as well.I delivered lectures with practice exercises and feed back, I also introduced them with different activities to make their language class more intresting for e.g flash cards, picture stories, word games e.t.c. I also introduced them with different teaching methodologies for teaching English as a second Language.
I worked there as a English Language teacher for M.A.E.L.T.L classes.I delivered lectures, conducted discussions, observed role plays and presentations, assessed my students through assignments, M.C.Q's and questionnaires.gave them feed back.I also worked there as a research associate on a project to design and develop English Language Course for students with poor written and spoken English, The basic concept was e.learning. I developed lesson plans on power point (including practice exercises, assessment and feed back e. t .c.) to enhance the lingual skills of students. This enabled me not just to use modern pedagogic methods but also polished my analytical skills.
In short, I have hand on experience of “Curriculum Designing” “Teacher Training” and “English Language Teaching”
I have done my Graduation in English Literature and my Master’s in E.L.T.L. (English Language Teaching and English Linguistics). My major areas of studies are English Linguistics and Teaching English as a foreign Language (including curriculum designing). I have also done my 150 hour TEFL from University of Toronto, with 11 different modules including “Technology in the Class” and “Teaching Test Preparation Courses”.
