Roles and Responsibilities:
• Assessing, observing and reporting on the condition of patients;
• Preparing patients for operations and procedures;
• Recording pulse, temperature and respiration and keeping accurate records of these observations;
• Proper screening and administration of medications to the patient (IM, IV, SC, ORAL, Topical)..
• Undertakes medical screening such as preliminary observations, ECG, Spirometry, Stress ECG and other specialist screening as required
• Perform cystistat procedure.
• Assisting with tests and evaluations;
• Knowledgeable in processing for pre-aaproval papers for procedures.
• Trained and perform drug and alcohol test.
• Prepare room, sterilization of instruments, check equipment’s and ensuring the stocks is maintained
• Ensure that all clinical encounters with regulatory controls for infection control
• Responding quickly to emergencies;
• Explaining treatment and procedures to enable parents/guardians to consent to treatment;
• Supporting, advising and educating patients and close relatives;
• Writing reports and updating records before completing a shift.

Gastroenterology ( Recovery Nurse Pre / Post OP )
Roles and Responsibilities
• Prepared all the necessary documents pre -op . ( Signed consent , Vital Signs, Insurance and completed lab results)
• Administer intravenous therapy
• Reducing the physical stress of the operation ( Px fully understand the purposed of the surgery and ready to proceed )
• Sterilize equipment and make sure patients' rooms are ready for their arrival.
• A structured approach to immediate post operative after the management.
• Monitor their vital signs every 5 minutes, Checked any abnormal breathing, suction if needed and comfort patients when they wake up from anesthesia.
• Co-ordinate all essential resources and discharge requirements.
• Ensure that patient has seen by the attending gastroenterologist and discharge plan rendered.
• Returning their valuables and make sure someone will take them home safe after the procedure.

• Phlebotomy
• Assessing the physical and psychological needs of the patients
• Rendering direct nursing care
• Monitoring and recording vital signs
• Operate ECG machine, glucometer, cardiac monitor, pulse-Oximeter,
• Attending Emergency Cases refer them accordingly ( 911 )
• Follow ups call rendered

• Get patient record from the information desk.
• Verify to the patient what procedure or concern she/he had.
• Explain briefly to the patient some information regarding the procedure.
• Prepare the machine or instrument needed.
• Inform Consent done; instruct the patient what she/he would feel during the treatment and also after the treatment.
• Assist the Doctor in Sclerotheraphy, hair removal, warts removal, botoux scar removal, tattoo removal any non surgical procedure.
• Assist the doctor in Surgical procedure such as rhinoplasty, breast augmentation etc.

• Provides nursing care to his/her assigned patients and accomplishes the requirednursing task.
• Receives the endorsements of, and in turn endorses to the following shift, the station’s furniture, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Sees to the observance of Nursing and Hospital Policies and Procedures. Forwards charts of discharged patients to the billing department.
• Participate in all phases of patients care of the acute illness, the convalescing
• Perform nursing measures that will meet the patient’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual health needs.
• Invasive therapy, Insertion of Foley’s Catheter, Naso Gastric Tube
• Ventilator care, Tracheostomy care
• Pre and post care Operative Care
