Major Job responsibilities:
 Overall responsibility for the successful implementation of the projects activities i.e. Socio-economic (Education grants, pre-school, agriculture support, apprenticeship grant, small input support etc), settlement improvement (WASH activities, household improvement, drain, dustbin, culvert, plat form, double pit sanitary latrine, footpath construction and tube well installation etc) and Nutrition component in the town and the achievement of the projects outputs within the framework of the approved annual work plan.
 Achievement of the projects outputs as measured by the log frame indicators disaggregated to town level.

 Coordination with government, donors, NGOs, academic institutions and the private sector.
 Capacity building of local government, communities and project staff to achieve the project outputs.
 Ensure that extremely poor community members have a voice in community activities and decisions and benefit from project activities and that all community mobilization and development activities are gender sensitive.
General Management
 Preparation of annual results based work plans and budgets for approval by the Town Project Board and Project Board
 Preparation of quarterly results based work plans and budgets and organization of quarterly reviews and submit quarterly review report
 Monitoring implementation of town work plan and budget utilization and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
 Responsible for town level utilization and monitoring of all financial inputs for town level activities including Settlement Improvement and Socio-Economic Funds disbursed to the town, ensuring their timely transfer to the community based organizations and effective utilization.
 Preparation and submission of town level monitoring and evaluation reports
 Establishment of Town Project Board and ensuring that it meets regularly.
 Responsible for the use and maintenance of all project vehicles/motor cycles and other equipment in the town Responsible for preparation of town level surveys to identify all urban poor communities and groups and preparation of town implementation plans
 Responsible for ensuring that community action plans are prepared and regularly reviewed
 Overall responsibility for development and implementation of all community contracts
 Responsible for local procurement or equipment and services under delegated authority from Project Board
 Responsible for documentation and of project activities
 Liaise with the private sector, training institutions, financial institutions and local commercial and industrial organizations to pro-actively promote economic opportunities for members of the urban poor communities

Coordination:
 Represent UPPR in Town Level Coordination Committee if already established and ensuring that community representatives are also members
 Coordination of all activities with local government officials and elected representatives including the Mayor of City Corporation or Chairperson of Pourashava
 Coordination of project activities with those of other donors, NGOs and government projects in poverty reduction and related fields

Capacity Building:
 Organize and manage all training activities and exchange programmes for staff, elected representatives, government counterparts and community members, including selection of participants, and ensuring that training is carried out in accordance with project guidelines.

 Management of all project staff and experts assigned to the town including personnel administration, work plans and performance assessment
