I’m currently employed as an Electrical Engineer at Amtech Pty Ltd.
Ive worked for various companies for project work, upgrades and maintaining their sites helping to get the best results in reliability of machinery and power consumption. Making the machines have higher efficiency overall. Mainly on the plc automation side with and fault finding on all breakdowns. Also help with shift cover in maintenance to make sure the site KPI are met.
• Provide technical support to keep the plant run and produce as per the design.
• Develop/review maintenance scope of work for major activities.
• Conduct failure analyses, rework internal investigations, improvement studies, technical reports, and quality/safety assurance audits for major.
• Support operation and maintenance daily activities (normal or emergency cases) which require engineering knowledge and assessment.
• Check the availability of spare parts through MEX, evaluate new spare part registration formalities, and carry out Participate in annual budget preparation by providing all required capital spare parts and special maintenance.
• Enhance employee knowledge by conducting on-job / classroom training sessions, reviewing the JQP material as well as attending all scheduled.
• Support the maintenance Supervisor with daily major issues.
• Resolve complex technical and safety related problems.
• Engage and influence leaders to adopt new ideas to enhance.
• Complete projects to Australian standard AS:3000

• PLC work install/ project and maintains (Siemens S7 300 and 400, S5, logos, TI, Omron, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley Logix 500, Logix 5000, micro Logix, studio).
• Fault finding using PLC’s and various software with machinery.

• Breakdowns on high-speed equipment / Fault Finding (corrigators, flexo presses with die cut multiple colours Gopford, binding equipment, chill plant, gas burners, boilers paper recycle through bailer and waste plant ).
• Water management (Water treatment plant, Water Recycling, Chilled water systems)

Siemens s5 to S7 300 on Corrigator project with Siemens hmi and reloin.
• Fault finding on VSD / inverters (Lenze, Siemens, Hitachi, Sew, Schneider, Allen Bradley power flex, Baulmuller, Danfoss).
• Work with robotic stacking machinery, (ABB).
• working on upgrading slitter unit on Corrigator servo drives
• Source and order materials. deal with Machine manufacturers.
• Use the MEX system for maintenance and job requests.
• Regularly work unsupervised and assist others when required.
• Worked on afternoon shift and day shift and night shift.
• Updating electrical drawings from variations using auto cad.
• Install / retrofit additional machinery to the flexo presses and conveyor systems to wrapping machines.
•most of the machines ive worked on come from Europe ( Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy ) but with some coming from Asia mainly Japan
so Im experienced with the design and documentation that comes with these machinery .
as well as good contacts throughout the industry world wide.
DUTIES at OAP:
• PLC work install/ project and maintains (Siemens S7 300 and 400, S5, logos, TI, Omron, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley Logix 500, Logix 5000, micro Logix, studio).
• Fault finding using PLC’s and various software with machinery.
• Preventative maintenance (web Printing Presses sheet fed and web presses, Binding Machines, Conveyor Systems, Palletisers, Stackers, boxing machines, chillers units, ovens, paper waste systems.boilers flexo die cut machines.)
• Breakdowns on high-speed equipment / Fault Finding (printing presses for magazines binding equipment, chill plant, gas burners, boilers ).
• Water management (Water treatment plant, Water Recycling, Chilled water systems)
• Gas monitoring projects (Gas usage system, After burners).
• Fault finding on VSD / inverters (Lenze, Siemens, Hitachi, Sew, Schneider, Allen Bradley power flex, Baulmuller, Danfoss).
• Control board repairs (electronics) mainly surface mount components. Older driver cards and m600 input output cards.
• Work with robotic stacking machinery (Fanuc), (LGV), (ABB).
• Odd Mechanical work- (repairing/ replacing airlines, grease lines, repairing lubrication systems, small welding jobs).
• Source and order materials.
• Use the MEX system for maintenance and job requests.
• Regularly work unsupervised and assist others when required.
• Worked on afternoon shift and day shift and night shift.
• Updating electrical drawings from variations using auto cad.
• Install / retrofit additional machinery to the web presses and bindery equipment.
due to Covid 19 I had to wait until i could have my ceremony otherwise would of been a couple of years earlier
