• Ensures the value of goods and services obtained by processing them in a timely manner, with reasonable cost, and through an appropriate level of competition
• Performs all medical and paramedical items purchases in accordance with the hospital policies (from local or international suppliers)
• Maintains an efficient Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) strategy
• Responsible for the interpretation and administration of the purchasing procedures
• Establishes and maintains proper and effective relationships between the purchasing activity and the personnel in other department, administration staff, suppliers, and patients
• Performs negotiations for prices, bids, and offers with honesty, fairness and courtesy to obtain an equitable and mutual agreeable settlement with the suppliers
• Prepares and forecasts annual budget for the purchasing department based on previous year’s accomplishments, experiences and future projections.
• Responsible of the hospital’s general stores
• Purchases new medical equipments according to the needs
• Evaluates the need for new medical equipments
• Searches for new suppliers
• Renews and evaluates contracts
• Guarantees and controls the good working conditions of medical equipments
in progress
