Project: Al Zahia City Centre Project - Shopping Mall and Parking
Manage a small team of junior architectural assistants and CAD technicians to review shop drawings and submittals of the following packages:
- mall openings (steel doors, rolling shutters, aluminium openings)
- Joinery works (wooden doors, wall cladding panels, partitions and cabinets)
- Landscape works (softscape, irrigation and hardscape including lighting and urban furniture)
Coordinate with all project disciplines (mechanical and electrical). Ensure that works are constructed as per specifications and project requirements. Present progress and package issues to client and consultant team.
Key Achievements:
- Follow up and check preparation of project’s architecture shop drawings and modify the same as per IFC
drawings, site, Authorities and Client/consultant requirements/instructions.
- Coordinate the project construction drawings with Structural/Architectural/MEP disciplines.
- Highlight discrepancies in IFC drawings, projects specifications and shop drawings.
- Arrange a coordination workshops with subcontractors and follow up with all necessary actions.
- Create solutions as per site conditions and changes when needed.
- Attend weekly progress meetings (internal and external) and assist in preparation of minutes of meetings.
Key Achievements:
1- Consultancy for projects, furniture and soft interior:
- Confer with client to determine factors affecting planning interior environments, such as budget, architectural preferences, purpose and function.
- Create a plan to help clients make a living space safe, functional and attractive.
- Advise clients on interior design factors, such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishing and equipment, and color coordination.
- Select and purchase furnishing, art works and accessories.
- Formulate environmental plan to be practical, aesthetical, and conducive to intended purposes.
- Assist in selecting the finishes for various residences.
- Prepare interior design boards and studios when needed as well as layout plans.
- Render design ideas in form of paste-ups or drawings.
- Prepare specification lists for furniture and furnishings, quotation for the material requirements and
estimated material requirements and costs.

My final grade in Landscape Architecture was 83/100. My project was the rehabilitation of the old Sidon waterfront.
